The Forest Tower 🍂 The Forest Tower at Camp Adventure Park, located in Gisselfeld Klosters Skove, Denmark, offers a unique experience by allowing visitors to walk among the trees. A 900-meter boardwalk connects to a 45-meter tall observation tower, providing stunning views of the preserved forest. The design features a continuous ramp, making the forest accessible to all. The tower’s curved design enhances stability and offers a larger observation deck, giving visitors an immersive connection to the forest canopy. The quality of the #openspaces is almost more important for the city than the buildings themselves. It is the space where people spend time and come together. If this in-between space has no quality, if people don't feel comfortable in public spaces, then no urban district will emerge. For us as #architects, the spaces that promote social exchange and encounters are important, regardless of the functions that bring people to the place. Verde Vortex! Verde Vortex stands on the shore of a tranquil lake, its spiral form mimicking the natural curves found in the surrounding landscape. . . Its a high-rise with multiple levels, each characterized by verdant gardens that cascade over the edges, blurring the lines between man-made and natural. . . . Verde Vortex isn't just a building; it's a statement about the future of architectural design. It presents a model for sustainable development that can inspire future projects, emphasizing the importance of ecological balance in urban planning. The building can serve as a beacon of innovation, showcasing how human habitats can exist in harmony with nature. Designed with AGImageAI #agimageai #archdaily #architecture

Last week, during my trip to #Copenhagen I visited Danish Architecture Center #DAC where I came across a case study of "breathing new life into unloved building" in Sydney. Even in a relatively new commercial real estate market such as Poland, the trend of conversion of older buildings is getting more popular as the available land for new construction is becoming scarce, the architectural shape of a building becomes obsolete/not allowing for enough floor space or there is a higher demand for a different function in the area. Currently we are witnessing some #ESG examples of transforming office buildings (mainly) for the living purpose on the Polish market and only more are about to happen, which I hope we will be able to explore in different architecture museums soon! But for now, more about this phenomenon is in our report, link in the comment 💡

Embracing Nature Through Sustainable Architecture Here my latest sustainable architecture concept design: a cultural hub that harmoniously integrates with nature. Nestled in a lush forest and surrounded by tranquil waterways, this project redefines the relationship between architecture and the environment. Key Design Highlights: Organic, flowing architecture: Inspired by natural forms, the white curvilinear roof blends seamlessly with the landscape, creating a striking yet subtle presence. Eco-focused integration: The structure works with the surrounding environment, preserving the forest and enhancing the beauty of its water features. Cultural connection: Designed to foster community and cultural exchange while maintaining a minimal ecological footprint. Sustainability at its core: Leveraging renewable materials, natural ventilation, and an energy-efficient design to respect and protect nature. Would you visit or work in a space like this? Let’s reimagine the future of architecture—together. #SustainableArchitecture #DesignForNature #EcoDesign #CulturalSpaces #GreenFuture #InnovationInArchitecture

Documented in DETAIL 6.2024 Climate and Resources: Het Bosbad Housing in Eindhoven (NL) by GAAGA Circularity, simple reversibility and the desire to create residential space in proximity to the natural environment were the conceptual focus of the housing structure Het Bosbad. About 400 peeled eucalyptus logs provide the design with a striking visual impression. The reuse of these construction components is possible without difficulty. For the design, the Delft-based architecture office Gaaga found inspiration in the Japanese nature therapy method of #ShinrinYoku. Translated literally, the term means “forest bathing”. The property offers ideal preconditions for this purpose. Bordering a large park, it is situated at the northeastern tip of the urban development zone of Bosrijk, west of Eindhoven. According to Gaaga, 85% of building materials can be reused or recycled. Hardwood boards that previously served as embankment were applied as facade siding. The primary structure consists of prefabricated concrete elements with detachable bolt connectors. Sustainable architecture prioritizes three core aspects: people (social), profit (economic), and planet (environmental), and aims to create a healthier, more productive built environment that serves the people and planet in the present while taking protective measures to protect the environment for future generations. In an era of environmental concerns and climate change, the architectural industry plays a crucial role in shaping a more sustainable future. In our latest blog, we’ll explore the principles of sustainable architecture and how they contribute to a stronger planet and thriving communities: https://buff.ly/3Lh2xTE #mitchellwalldesign #stlarchitecture #stldesign #stldesigner #historicalarchitecture #historichome #historichomerenovation #contemporaryarchitecture #stlhomes #passivearchitecture #passivebuilding #highendresidential #highendrenovation #hometransformation #designbuild #exteriordesign #exteriorrenovation #interiordesign #interiorrenovation #allinthedetails #luxurydesign #luxuryrenovations #customhomedesign #curatedhome

Nature co-creating architecture? On this World Architecture Day, we recognize the urgent need to reevaluate the relationship between the built and natural environments. With nearly 40% of global CO2 emissions coming from buildings, sustainability is now a necessity, not an option. At our recent flagship project, Republic of Nature - RON, we have embraced this challenge by making the architectural theme for the project ‘Embracing Nature'. Striving to create a livable, cohesive and sustainable community. The design incorporates eco-friendly material and abundant green spaces that harmonize with the natural landscape. The project is crafted to ensure that nature is not just a backdrop, but an integral part of daily life. Our philosophy is rooted in ensuring that our projects complement its environment rather than competing with it because Integrating nature into construction is transforming how we design spaces, aligning with the principles of biophilia, our innate connection to the natural world. #worldarchitectureday #GTB #RON
