Design programs are often missed in projects and is a critical step in projects and conceptualisation. How can you start a project without showing what spaces you are designing? There are multiple ways you can show design programs and also integrate User Journeys in the process and visualisation of Spatial Design. How does showing Design Program is helpful? ☑️ It gives detailed information on what spaces you are designing. ☑️ It helps build a foundation for feasibility studies ☑️ You can mix this Information with other types of diagrams to make them stronger eg. Axonometrics, Zoning, Sections etc. The three ways you can integrate Design Program diagrams: 📌Pie Charts/ Bar Charts- Aesthetically Pleasing charts can make them look like diagrams. 📌Block Diagram- 3D diagram with color coded blocks can be a simple way to integrate heights & uses. 📌Zoning Diagram- 2D spatial relationships between uses can help understand what will be spaces used for & their inter relationships. Which ones do you usually use for your projects? Comment below 👇🏻 I hope you find this post useful 🫶🏻 #architectureillustration #architecturedesign #adobeillustrator #workshop #architectureconcepts

The Art of Illustration in Architecture 🏛️🎨 Illustration plays a pivotal role in architecture, bridging the gap between technical precision and creative vision. It’s not just about blueprints—it’s about bringing spaces to life, helping clients and stakeholders envision the final result long before it’s built. Here’s how illustration enhances architecture: Visualizing Concepts: Architectural illustrations transform complex designs into engaging visuals, showcasing everything from intricate details to overarching concepts. Evoking Emotion: A well-crafted illustration does more than show a structure—it conveys atmosphere, scale, and emotion, allowing viewers to feel the space. Bridging Creativity and Functionality: Illustrations combine technical accuracy with artistic flair, making them an essential tool for communicating ideas effectively to both professionals and the public. Supporting Decision-Making: Whether it’s for client approvals or public presentations, illustrations provide clarity, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned before moving forward. At KJA Artists, we collaborate with architects, developers, and designers to create bespoke illustrations that bring their visions to life. ✏️How often do you sketch? Daily? Weekly? Whenever inspiration strikes? As an architect, I find that concept sketches are like the heartbeat of our creative process. Here at Rowett Architecture, we're firm believers in the enduring power of concept sketches in the architectural design process. While technology like Computer-Aided Design has revolutionised our field, hand-drawn sketches remain vital for several reasons: 1️⃣ Creativity and Exploration: There's something liberating about sketching by hand—it lets us swiftly explore diverse ideas without the limitations of digital tools, fostering creativity and spontaneous solutions 2️⃣ Effective Communication: Hand-drawn sketches are a universal language. They're accessible to clients and team members who might not be familiar with intricate planning drawings, effectively conveying the essence of our vision. 3️⃣ Iterative Process: Sketching supports an iterative design process. It empowers us to refine and evolve ideas on paper, enabling quick testing and modification before diving into more time-consuming digital representations. 4️⃣ The Human Element: Hand sketches add a personal touch, expressing our emotions, passion, and genuine connection to the design in a way that goes beyond a computer screen. 🤔🖊️💻 While computers and digital tools have become integral to our profession, we believe in a harmonious blend of traditional sketching and cutting-edge technologies. At Rowett Architecture, we strive to leverage the unique benefits of both approaches. Because sometimes, the best designs emerge from the tip of a pencil. #ArchitecturalSketches #DesignProcess #CreativeBalance

Here's 45 minutes of work in 45 seconds. See the attached video below. 📹 I have always found a thrill in creating design visualizations and bringing life to new or existing designs from scratch. It is always a great feeling, but it can be disheartening when a client or a senior refers to the process with phrases like "It's not serious work; all you have to do is just..." or "It shouldn't take that long; we just need a simple design..." 😔 These statements are contradictory in themselves: 1. If it were simple, you wouldn't need someone else. 🤷♂️ 2. If it doesn't take that long, you should do it yourself. ⏳ Working on visualizations is always an intricate process that requires following steps in a procedural order. 🛠️ From initial concept sketches to detailed 3D models, every step demands creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail. When clients underestimate the complexity of visualization work, I educate them about the process. I explain each step involved, from initial concept development to the final rendering, and highlight the skills and effort required at each stage. By clearly explaining what goes into creating high-quality visualizations, I help clients appreciate the value of the work and set realistic expectations. This approach addresses their misconceptions and fosters a collaborative and respectful working relationship. The true joy of visualization comes when the client sees the final product, their eyes light up with excitement, and they express their appreciation. Knowing that your work has exceeded their expectations and brought their vision to life is incredibly rewarding. Clients rewarding you handsomely for your efforts validate your hard work and dedication, making it all worthwhile. 😊💼 Are you looking to make visualization projects come to life? I specialize in architectural visualizations, including residential, commercial, and landscape projects. This includes creating detailed renderings for new constructions, renovations and redesigns. Each project is tailored to meet the client's unique vision and requirements, ensuring that every detail is accurately represented. Send a message, and let's get started. https://lnkd.in/d7hyynSQ #Visualization #Design #Architecture #3DModeling #Renderings #DesignProcess #Creativity #AttentionToDetail #ProjectManagement #ArchitecturalDesign #ClientSatisfaction #HardWorkPaysOff

Making renders for architecture isn't just creating attractive images. It means conveying every subtle choice you made as a designer. That little play of light on a particular facade. The reason you chose a certain material. Howthe building interacts with its surroundings. Those are the things that need to come through in the visuals. A good render doesn’t just replicate what’s there. It respects your design intent while enhancing what matters most. It tells the story behind those decisions. But not all studios do this. Some miss the underlying story. Some just produce pretty pictures. But this is what makes the difference in competitions and marketing. The details that communicate intent. The nuances that elevate a project from good to great. At The Big Picture, we focus on those design nuances. Because we understand the weight they carry. We want your audience to see not just a building, but the ideas behind it. P.S. Does your visualization partner capture the deeper design choices that make your work unique? /// Hi, I'm Federico, archviz tutor and director at The Big Picture. Since 2014, I've helped architects and developers bring ideas to life through visuals. 🤝 Follow for more archviz insights! ♻ Repost if you find this helpful!
