Gravity is here! With the launch of this chain abstraction-based L1, it signifies the next stage of Galxe's growth. We wanted to share some thoughts on why we’re excited about this prospect and what lies ahead for Galxe. ⤵️ When we first invested in @Galxe back in 2021, we were betting on a team that could bring on-chain credentials to the masses through social questing... Throughout the years, they have emerged as the category leader, expanding its scope to become a decentralised super app and the largest web3 distribution platform - launching various products ranging from Quest, Passport, Compass, Score and more. To date, Galxe has partnered with >5k protocols across multiple blockchains launching >50k quests with a cumulative participation count of >500mn from >20mn unique addresses, and in March alone we see >6.4mn unique address completing >10mn quests. Galxe also leads when it comes to bringing credentials on chain and we have already seen >900k Galxe Passport holders and >180k Galxe Score holders. Now it’s time to transition into the next phase of growth and to drive value accrual for all of Galxe's products - and Gravity is here to do that. Gravity is a settlement layer built for mass adoption and full chain abstraction. It will also be integrated with their existing suite of products. Developers building on Gravity will be able to tap into Galxe’s 20 million users. Gravity will be secured by native $G token staking and security rented from Babylon and other restaking providers which incentivizes and unites a cross spectrum community. We are very excited to continue to support Charles Wayn and the Galxe team on the next stage of their growth and believe they will become a multi-billion dollar project given their substantial user base and the significant growth opportunities ahead of them.

However, interoperability remains a challenge, with fragmented ecosystems relying on bridges and shared governance. True seamless interaction between rollups is still a long way off. interoperability will become the next big focus as rollups scale, but expect it to be slow and gradual. 💽 App Chains are rising The rise of application-specific chains is on the horizon. As interoperability matures, more applications will migrate to their own dedicated rollups, optimizing for custom needs without user fragmentation.   While app chains offer customisation, they also face problems like migrating liquidity and maintaining user experience. The rise of app chains is inevitable, but the ecosystem must evolve to support them. 📅 Web3 is becoming more modular L2s have shifted towards modularity, enabling developers to add features and experiment with AltVMs, pre-compiles, and economic models. This modularity accelerates innovation and drives Ethereum's growth. Ethereum's modular approach strengthens its position over monolithic chains like Solana by fostering a faster pace of experimentation and adaptability. 🛡️ We need to push for decentralisation The ecosystem is at a crossroads, with centralised rollups (like Coinbase Base) potentially dominating. Maintaining Ethereum's ethos of censorship resistance and decentralization is crucial. Community-driven efforts to ensure decentralisation and transparency are vital to counter centralized control, particularly as rollup adoption accelerates.

Life Update: Launching Rabble Labs 🚀 This has been in the works for a while – Lumos Labs and BuildersTribe are teaming up to launch Rabble Labs, combining our expertise and community power. A.k.a Raghu Mohan and I are doing this together again, but this time with our super smart, techno wiz cofounder who wants to stay anonymous. We kicked off Lumos Labs in 2018 to tackle a big issue in the blockchain world – not enough engineers building cool stuff with this tech. To fix this, we launched programs to get more builders into the blockchain space, working with protocols and chains to boost on-chain adoption. We’ve managed over 40 hackathons and over 10 accelerators, bringing 100k builders into the ecosystem. After 5 years of building a community, we nailed down what people really want: Rewards, Jobs, Education, Support, and Recognition. So, after careful thought, we’re merging with Builderstribe, a platform with 2000+ founders and 400+ investors via buidl.so. This will bring more opportunities for the community. Introducing Rabble Labs: Building a suite of on-chain platforms to empower builders.
