This is increasingly true as most #mobile apps are now offered to users free of charge. In the latest #PlatformPapers blog, Jens Foerderer and Tobias Kircher discuss the effects of banning targeted advertising. Drawing from research that cleverly leverages a ... targeted ... ban on targeted advertising in the Google #PlayStore, they estimate the likelihood of app developers shipping new #features to their existing apps and the introduction of new apps outright subsequent to the ban’s enforcement.
