Designing digital healthcare ecosystems on open data and Digital health platforms

I agree Tjasa Zajc - empathy in healthcare is paramount irrespective of the digital transformation. While reliance on technology to improve care and outcomes is essential, we must not lose sight of the importance of human interactions, especially in the healthcare industry💡. I have seen a lot of ambition from individuals working with patients to implement new and innovative solutions to simplify their work and help them improve patient care and outcomes (especially popular are AI-based solutions🤖). To properly support these ambitions, adequate education is needed📖, and IT companies should develop their solutions in a way that will support the vision and needs of medical teams🚀. Digital solutions should, indeed, aim to alleviate administrative burdens for consultants and allow them to dedicate more time to their patients. Thanks for sharing the DAC Beachcroft report and your thoughts! #HealthcareInnovation #PatientFirst

Let's be honest, doctors are not getting back their time with patients. I'm not being pessimistic; it's just that the demand is simply too great. 8 million people in the NHS are currently waiting for hospitalization. We have an aging population, and we're not going to train all the physicians that we need to fill the shortages that are expected to rise in the upcoming years. But we can still do a lot to ensure everyone has access to care. Technology is going to be imperative in making this happen. It's been a pleasure to contribute to the DAC Beachcroft report: 'NextGen Health: Tomorrow’s Care, Today’s Innovations', which covers: ➡ Reinvigorating a system under strain ➡ Leading in tough times ➡ Social care across generations ➡ Crunch time for healthcare real estate ➡ The health tech scaling challenge ➡ Mental health demand continues to soar My 2 cents on the topic of reinvigorating healthcare systems: "The digital transformation of healthcare, everything from at-home testing, hospital at home, remote care, telemedicine, and patient portals, is helping patients reduce the time they waste driving to appointments and medical examinations, which is great. However, empathy is still the key desired component of healthcare delivery. Consequently, with everything going digital and doctors being busy typing on keyboards during medical visits, patients can feel alienated from healthcare providers. We need to be very careful about digital literacy and digital accessibility, which are becoming determinants of health."
