What a rollercoaster the last three days have been! It was an incredible privilege to be part of the team (EcoMorphosys) responsible for making Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024 sustainable. This year, under the Green BTS initiative, we made history by showcasing India’s first sustainable and responsible tech summit of this scale. Together, we set new benchmarks in eco-conscious practices: ✅ “Zero Waste to Landfill”: Achieved by recycling 98% of waste through 100% source segregation. ✅ Free EV Bus Shuttle Services: 24% of visitors utilized BMTC’s EV services, reducing carbon emissions by 9%. ✅ Carbon Footprint Reduction: Achieved an overall 10% year-on-year reduction! ✅ Sustainability Champions: Among 686 exhibitors embracing sustainability, three exemplary stalls were honored with the ‘Sustainability Stall Award’. One of the highlights I’m particularly proud of is the Live Dashboard that we developed, which provided real-time insights into the event’s environmental impact. Along with thought-provoking videos and biodiversity demonstrations, it was instrumental in raising environmental awareness and connecting the event’s initiatives to eight Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). #BTS2024 #GreenBTS #Sustainability

Thanks to all entrants into the #InavationAwards Sustainable Business Category who are responsible for planting 250 trees! Our finalists are Digital Projection, EcoVista, First Impression audiovisual, Genelec, JONES AV LTD, PPDS - Professional Display Solutions, proAV Limited, SiliconCore Technology, TD SYNNEX Maverick and WolfVision – but it was thanks to the whole field of entrants that we were able to create our own mini plantation 🌳🌳🌳 We first launched a Sustainability Award at the 2020 Inavation Awards and had some impressive entries but from a small field, ultimately leading to the category giving way to a focus on Awards that garnered entries from a broader spectrum of companies. Bringing it back for 2025 we can see a marked change in the market. It took the better part of the weekend to process the energy and ideas generated by the #GenZeroClimateSummit2024 at Singapore's Ecosperity 2024 event. First and foremost, a huge congrats to Frederick Teo and the whole GenZero team for putting together an amazing event. Many of the conversations went deep beneath the surface of key topics in sustainability and carbon markets - not always the case in conferences and events. 👏 🙏 A special thanks to the formidable Anshari Rahman and my co-panelists, Suzanne DiBianca, Hugh Salway, Perumal Arumugam, Robin Rix for a stimulating conversation last week in the Carbon Markets 2.0 panel. The last question asked of all of us was: "Is 2024 the year of redemption in carbon markets?". As I mentioned, it may be too early for that, but from the insights shared in our panel and many others: there are definitely signs that the building blocks for a better, higher quality carbon market are being positioned. So maybe "a year of opportunity"! Champagne bottles should remain firmly corked for now, but there is a clear direction of travel. Onwards!

The event focused on sustainability in the digital world, covering AI optimization, eco-design, and more.   ✨ Highlights:   - Deborah Andrews session on "Meeting or Missing Targets?" emphasized a multicriteria approach to avoiding a "carbon tunnel" vision.   - David Eckchajzer & Laetitia Bornes on "Avoided Emissions: A Vinted Case Study" offered insights into real cases and potential indirect effects.   - Margerie Guilliot & Raphaël Lemaire session on navigating frameworks for ecodesigned digital services provided practical methodologies used at COSMO CONSULT.   🙏 Thanks to Gaël DUEZ and the apidays team for an impactful event.
