How are community platforms like Chief, Hampton transforming lives? By harnessing the power of Peer Networks. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿? Peer networks are like a lifeline in the professional world - filled with collective brilliance, battle-tested wisdom, and paths to financial success. However, the cost to join these platforms can range from 2400 per year for traditional associations to an eye-watering 10000 per year. I wanted to democratize that and bring the sheer brilliance of a peer network, at an affordable scale. As a community builder, I’ve always believed that to truly understand my community and provide the best experience, I need to experience it firsthand. However, managing a large community of independent professionals across SEA and ANZ, I sometimes wonder if I fully grasp the unique challenges and goals of an independent - especially since I’m not one myself. Recently, I had an enlightening conversation with Paz Pisarski from The Community Collective (proud to be part of Cohort #5!), and her insights shifted my perspective. Here are some key takeaways: ✨ Curiosity over experience: Not being part of your own community can actually be an asset - it encourages you to explore community needs more deeply, rather than relying solely on personal experiences and assumptions. ✨ Ask the right questions: By focusing on asking the right questions, you can uncover insights that truly reflect your members’ challenges and aspirations. ✨ Value unique perspectives: Learn to take a step back and appreciate the distinctive challenges your members face, leading to a more nuanced understanding and connection. ✨ Collaborate with knowledge experts: My role as a community manager isn’t to know everything, but to connect my community with the right resources and experts, helping them unlock new opportunities and knowledge. These insights reinforced for me that curiosity and open-mindedness are essential in building a truly resilient community. By embracing what I don’t know, I can actually better serve and connect with the professionals I support. #Community #Engagement #Growth #Futureofwork #Independentprofessional

Your community's growth hinges on one crucial factor: knowing exactly whom you're building it for. If you want prospective members to envision themselves inside, you need to be ultra specific. Clarity is your friend. Inspiration, examples, and tips to help are inside. Tell us in the comments about the WHO your community serves. Maybe we can help you connect with a few more future members. 🌺

One of the most important community management strategies is developing a shared purpose. Strong communities with unified goals: - Drive value for your business and your customers. - Give you market insights, shaping where you invest and focus. - Directly support your biggest strategic goals. - Lower market risks and volatility. But aligning the interests of key stakeholders - your CEO, other departments, members, partners - and getting buy-in can be challenging. And if you don’t have everyone on board, you risk community being sidelined (or worse, cut from your budget). So, if you lead a community (or want to incorporate one), how do you explain all the ways community can benefit business objectives? Learn how to make your case during Higher Logic's May 16 webinar! Leading community expert Rachel Happe, who you may know from her work with Engaged Organizations and The Community Roundtable, will be sharing tips from over a decade of research on community practices. Rachel has worked with big names like EA, Microsoft, and the World Bank Group, and she can help your organization actualize the many benefits of community! Register (for free) at the link below 👇.

Want to be in the top 1%? It’s not about being the smartest. It’s about being in the right environment. Look around. The biggest world-changers never go solo. 𝗪𝗵𝘆? It’s never just one person. It’s always a group creating new things together. Hubs matter. Silicon Valley for tech. Hollywood for movies. Big things happen where like-minded people gather. You are the average of the 5 people you spend time with. Your standards rise or fall based on who’s around you. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵. You won’t operate at 100% all the time. None of us do. But when you're in the right group ... Your 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 becomes their 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱. You naturally level up. That’s why community is everything. It's harder to slack when you’re with people who push. You’re inspired to rise to their level. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆? To do more, be around those who demand more. Surround yourself with high achievers. Watch your results grow. That’s why I built Design Your Brilliant Future. It’s for those seeking a community that drives them forward. You in?
