This is shaping up to be a brilliant title run-in. Who will be crowned the eventual Premier League champions 2023/2024? Will it be reigning champions and the best team in the world right now after a hugely successful treble-winning campaign of Man City? Will it be Liverpool who would want to gift Jurgen Klopp the most fitting parting gifts of all? Or will it be Arsenal on the back of their bitter title-challenge collapse last season? It boils down to this one fundamental question: Who wants it the most? The simple answer to that complicated question will influence, determine and shape the last 10 matches. The attitudes of the players will be put to the test. Their willingness to suffer will be challenged. Every blade of extra grass covered will count for something. The team that wants it the most will show it on their faces and on their feet. It boils down to this one fundamental question: Who wants it the most? If you want it the most, how much are you willing to suffer for it? #psychologicalskills #sportpsychology #GTsnippets

The remaining 6 matches of the Premier League will be absolutely exhilarating, even for the neutrals. In a weekend where Liverpool dropped points, this would have been Arsenal's chance to cement their lead at the top of the table. Alas, Man City were the beneficiaries after gameweek 32. The silver lining for Arsenal is Mikel Arteta. Despite not having much success of his own in his playing days, he is now leading, coaching and managing a hungry, determined, passionate group of players. What he needs now is for them to match his hunger, determination and passion. His relentless quest for success, for performance excellence, sometimes rubs people the wrong way. Some would say he may at times have let his values go in his unending pursuit to be a champion. However, it is because of this unsatiable motivation that makes him such a key makeup of this Arsenal team. Have a think: which Arsenal player is indispensable to this current squad? What about Arteta? Here, he is rallying for them to bounce back by highlighting their incredible run of results. He perceives the current situation as a challenge. These are positives. The players, now more than ever, need to step up and show where their fighting spirit is. #psychologicalskills #sportpsychology

5 Premier League Statistical insights: 1. Aston Villa scoring as many goals at home as both Liverpool and Arsenal. 2. Manchester United has the best match attendance but still fail to please fans (I'm a gutted united fan ☹). 3. Whereas, our rivals, Manchester City who have scored the least goals at home from the top 5 teams but will more than certainly win the league. 4. After analysing away goals. I believe the title will be decided on away goals (for and against). I might be one of many United fans rooting for Arsenal to win the league, but Manchester City’s away goal stats might be the reason they clinch the title at Upton Park. 5. Finally, massive credit for teams like Newcastle and Aston Villa who both have lower match attendances than other teams, but still finished respectively high in the table (Higher than United). #footballanalysis #statisticalanalysis #dataanalyst

Premier League Fulham vs Arsenal Sequences: Breakthrough inner corridors - Arsenal’s capacity to condition the opposition into overload the ball zone to create gaps in relational distances between center backs to exploit - Such spaces in central, are created to sublime positional play, dynamics, pinning and individual recognition of spaces to exploit by Rice ( applying blindspot run as the free man), Havertz in role of pinning and trossard dropping wide to become circulation support with space and time to place ball in behind defensive line. - High pressing structure + man marking in fulham’s low build up - winning second ball duels into situational relational positioning ( in diamond shape) with numerical superiority in ball zone to progress in-attack through half spaces. - Situational, ‘3+5’ 1st phase build up structure with fullbacks inverted in midfield. However, Left and Right eight ( Odegaard and Rice) in channels providing width + depth as throughout this structure, Arsenal’s aim was to force fulham to overload central spaces and leave wide zones as options to progression as weak zones. Arsenal was great In-possession. Mikel Arteta’s men were adaptable to different situations and found solutions. One them was to beat fulham and constantly place them in a low block, dynamics around in high build up to create gaps to exploit and wide spaces as main space of action. #arsenal #fulham #soccercoach #futboltactico #footballtactics #footballanalysis #futebol #footballscout #sportsanalysis #matchanalysis

The intense match held last Sunday at Old Trafford saw a fierce battle for control of the midfield. Manchester United's adjustments to their build-up plan to counter Chelsea's relentless man-marking were impressive, but data indicates that Chelsea won the midfield battle. Among the players on the ground, Chelsea players dominated the top five spots for touch percentages in the middle third area, and they also claimed the top three spots for total touches. However, Manchester United recorded a higher xG of 2.0 compared to Chelsea's 1.1, suggesting that despite losing control of the center, they created more quality chances closer to goal. While Manchester United struggled to control the central areas, they created many good opportunities through direct play. Chelsea, on the other hand, may not have created as many scoring chances but achieved higher possession and other stats, leveraging their dominance in the middle. In anticipation for the upcoming Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal, we have had a look at some of the history behind these two clubs in the English First Division 📊 Up until the 2010s, Arsenal dominated - both in terms of league position and titles. Since then, City’s success has been unparalleled 🏆🏆🏆 Despite not being traditional rivals, this fixture has become one of the most interesting in the Premier League calendar. In the last two seasons, Arsenal have been City’s closest challengers for the title. From a head-to-head perspective, City's manager Pep Guardiola has undoubtedly dominated the fixture against his former apprentice, Mikel Arteta - now the manager of Arsenal. It must be said that Arsenal’s progress since Arteta joined has been remarkable, as the past two seasons has shown Arsenal and City to be head and shoulders above everyone else in the league. Will this season serve up the same rivalry? 🤔 #ReallyAwesomeDataPeople #DataConsulting #ExpectMore #StepAhead

Are Premier League teams UNDERPERFORMING or OVERPERFORMING xG? Main standouts Arsenal 68 goals from 55.3 xG overperforming by 13. People have suggested this season that Arsenal haven’t been clinical enough and this shows the opposite. Liverpool are overperforming theirs by 4 with 64 goals and 59.9 xG. Manchester City also overperforming by 7 with 62 goals from 55 xG. Everton are underperforming by 11, their goals scored stand at 29 but their xG is 41. Their issues lie upfront with Calvert Lewin on 3 goals in 23 games and Beto on 2 goals in 22 games. Manchester United are massively struggling but not to put their chances away. They are really struggling to create chances their xG stands at 40 and goals scored 37. All the teams above them are creating 50+ xG minimum. #premierleague #analysis #footballanalysis #dataanalysis
