🔌 As demands on networks have evolved, they encounter complex, multi-directional energy flows that demand sophisticated monitoring. 🗣️ As Peter Lang, Senior Technology Transfer Engineer, UK Power Networks puts it: "Our biggest challenge has been moving from being reactive when a fault occurs on any of our networks. Where traditionally we would wait for customers to call saying supply has been lost, the Lucy Electric technology allows us to proactively monitor the LV feeder and fix defects before they cause an interruption.” 📊 Want to understand how DNOs are mastering network visibility in this new era using Lucy Electric’s grid monitoring technology? The existing grid needs to step up to meet the electrification demand ahead of us. The DOE is emphasizing the adoption of grid-enhancing technology as a critical step in the upcoming spring release of their Pathways to Commercial Liftoff report. Their recent webinar previewed the benefits of grid modernization technologies like ADMS, DERMS, and Digital Line Ratings that are already in market and considered a high-priority for rapid scaling. And these technologies build the foundation to "future-proof" the grid. GE Vernova's GridOS® software portfolio is packed with grid-enhancing technologies and used by utilities around the globe. Looking forward to reading the full report and helping our utility customers on their grid modernization journey with #GridOS. #GridOfTheFuture #GridOrchestration #GridOrchestrationSoftware #GridModernization

Hey all my #Interconnection heads: your help and expertise is needed! In case you missed it in all of the RE+ madness, the DOE Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (#i2X) released an RFI (https://lnkd.in/eNPv_eJ6) to gather input on a draft Distributed Energy Resource IX #Roadmap: https://lnkd.in/eFH6WMfb This RFI is looking for your feedback on the IX goals, solutions, and success metrics for -- wait for it -- the #Distribution and #SubTransmission systems. That's right: we're finally really digging in on IX issues beyond #NoTransitionWithoutTransmission in a detailed and meaningful fashion. Many thanks to the teams at #NREL, #LBNL, #PNNL, #Sandia, #VTO, #SETO, #WETO and #IREC for putting this draft roadmap together. I've read through it and certainly have some thoughts of my own on certain items, but I believe they've done a great job identifying the challenges and many of the right solutions. DOE is interested in hearing from all IX stakeholders, such as utilities, grid operators, regulators, state and local governments, IX customers, energy justice groups, nonprofits, clean energy developers, public interest groups, Tribes, and trade associations. Responses are due before Midnight Eastern on October 7th. To address questions, feedback, and comments on the draft roadmap from the interconnection community, the i2X team is hosting an overview webinar next Thursday, September 26th, 1.00-2.30p ET.
