Have a hunch that hiring for tech will start to pick again, as AI wave is subsiding with more realistic expectations. While hiring might come back to pre-covid normal levels, competition for same has increased multi-fold. If you’re graduating or planning to prepare for your next switch- make it a point to dive deep and be hands on with things. As competition increases and everyone is leetcoding, nuances of Low level design, System Design and knowledge of development will take a front seat alongside problem solving, in hiring. It is as rare to find passionate, driven engineers with high degree of ownership and learning aptitude, as it has ever been. Best is to be one.

There is this person who broke the Internet recently............ Yess, U guessed It right, It's Devin 😃. Devin, the world’s first AI software engineer, can write codes, create websites, and software with just a single prompt. Does this mean will it replace the software development Jobs??? Not really, as claimed by Cognition, this AI tool is not intended to replace human engineers but to assist them and make their work easier. To get the early access of Devin AI a form need to be submitted in the below link - https://lnkd.in/dYsbUGzZ #ai #devinai #nocodedevelopment #infitex #softwaredevelopment

🔍 Tech Hiring in Embedded Systems: What I’m Seeing in 2024 🔍 The embedded tech industry is buzzing with innovation, and it’s an exciting time to be a recruiter in this space! As we gear up for another phase of rapid transformation, here are three key trends I’m seeing: AI-Driven Systems Are a Must-Have Many clients are on the hunt for engineers with deep AI and ML experience to create smarter, faster embedded systems. Familiarity with frameworks like TensorFlow Lite and PyTorch Mobile is becoming essential. Edge Computing Demand is Exploding Edge devices need people who can bridge the gap between hardware and cloud, as more companies see the benefits of localized processing. Engineers who excel in C++, Python, and even Rust are in high demand. Soft Skills are Hard to Find As much as technical expertise matters, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively is critical. Hiring managers are prioritizing engineers who can work cross-functionally and explain complex ideas in simple terms. For fellow recruiters: What’s one skill set or trend you’re seeing become more valuable in 2024? Let’s discuss! 👇 #TechRecruiting #EmbeddedSystems #HiringTrends #AI #EdgeComputing #SoftSkills

What will a "great engineer" look like in the next 2-3 years? I've been obsessed with this question for the last few months because 1) The rapid pace of advancement in Gen AI when it comes to coding 2) As I advise founders on the skillsets to assess for as they hire today, I don't know if I'm seeing enough attention spent on understanding how these tools are being leveraged on the ground and then tying that back into interviewing frameworks. I'm grappling with questions like "are take home assessments even good signal anymore?" I won't pretend like I have good answers here, I just wanted to share in hopes that I'm not alone in thinking about these larger questions that could change how I approach my understanding of talent. Also maybe this can act as a push for us to start coming up with frameworks for this new reality we are in. #hiring #techhiring #recruiting #techrecruiting

Every pitch deck rn: "It has AI" 🤖 Just look at the last YC batch: - 50% of are AI companies - Only 1% of 27,000 got accepted It's not just about who's using AI. It's about who's building it --> ✅ RIGHT ✅ <-- The best AI companies today combine: - Production-ready engineering - Real technical innovation - Thoughtful system design - Deep domain expertise My last two startups? Exited to Google and Zygna. Because we built the RIGHT foundation. Now I'm looking for founding engineers at Redcar.io. 📌 The TLDR for you; We're building an AI Agent Platform 👇 The mission? Helping sales teams become superhuman. So they can focus on selling. Not doing admin work. The exciting part? I'm seeing some incredible NEW YC companies btw: - AI lawyers / legal support - AI talent screening - AI medical records Big things ahead in 2025. -- 👋 P.S. I'm hiring! - Sr Product Designer - Associate Product Manager (entry level) - Founding Full-stack Engineers Know anyone I should chat with? Tag them below please 🙏

That's exactly what I'm seeing, Amanda. Full stop. I’m in the trenches with my developers, and it’s clear: less time on toil, more on critical thinking and problem-solving. Productive developers are becoming ... well ... even more productive. We’ve even added AI skills to our role competencies, integrating them into our coaching framework and recruiting process. I’m also seeing something unexpected—some AI joy. It’s got some of us people leaders back in the saddle, slinging a bit of code again. It’s refreshing to spend time in the IDE; AI helps shake off the rust and expose that critical thinking spark. But don’t worry devs, you’re still the pros at this—your manager’s just enjoying a little nostalgia!
Are dev jobs changing because of AI? Yes, but not going away. It’s not that the job itself is shifting all that much (Truly! Despite the dramatic headlines you’re seeing!). It’s a reordering of focus and skills. Where devs will need to get better and where they need to spend their time. It’s more about editing and reviewing code – and communicating with teams, peers, and leadership. That’s what I’m seeing. What are you seeing? #recruiting #talentacquisition #techjobs #technicalhiring #developers #hiring #jobs #candidateexperience

"I was so productive today..." Meanwhile... Soon AI will be in every household. That's the end game for productivity. But there's a big challenge... 👇 Moving beyond next-word prediction to true reasoning. AI that thinks. 👀 The core problem? Most LLMs are impressive but fundamentally flawed. They predict what word comes next based on training data. This creates "salience" - amazing when it works, but prone to hallucination. How we're trying to solve it at Redcar.io" We built an AI Agent Platform that adds traditional engineering rigor on top of foundation models. The technical architecture: 1) Multi-source verification engine 2) Reasoning framework 3) Context management system 📌 Real world sales example for you: When qualifying B2B leads, our system: → Constructs company knowledge graphs → Validates data across multiple sources → Applies industry-specific reasoning → Self-monitors for accuracy → Auto-corrects when confidence is low ✨ The results? Our agents consistently outperform raw GPT-4 on specialized tasks. We're seeing significantly reduced hallucination rates. And most importantly - reliable, consistent output. 👋 P.S. We're hiring founding engineers! → Full Stack Engineer → Applied AI Engineer h/t Matt Tuck for this meme btw 😂

Rethinking Hiring for Senior Engineers ------------------------------ As a hiring manager, I've stopped relying on coding tests for senior engineers (5+ years of experience). With the increasing use of AI tools for high-frequency delivery, I believe coding tests no longer accurately assess a candidate's abilities. Instead, I focus on: - Explaining their previous projects and technical decisions - Demonstrating leadership skills and team management - Sharing their approach to overcoming complex challenges By 2024, I predict that coding tests will be seen as an outdated hiring practice for senior engineers/ lead / HOD roles. It's time to evolve our hiring processes to focus on what really matters: technical strategy, leadership, and problem-solving skills. P.S: Even, I barely get time to debug line by line. day night use AI for debugging nasty codes 😃 #DataScience #hiring #recruitment #ai #genai #lead #machinelearning
