Hello LinkedIn network, I'd like to share some insights on a topic close to my professional heart—ensuring data integrity during HRIS implementations. 😍 As HRIS analysts, our role in preparing, cleaning, and structuring data is crucial for the success of any system transition. 😲 The Impact of Clean Data The quality of data in an HRIS system can make or break the implementation process. Ensuring that data is accurate and thorough from the start not only facilitates smoother integrations but also guarantees that operations run reliably and effectively. This high standard of data cleanliness is essential for producing accurate reports and performing deep data analysis, empowering leaders to make informed, strategic decisions that enhance overall organizational performance. 😉 The Role of Dual Maintenance Dual maintenance or running parallel data entry in both our old and new systems, is an effective strategy to safeguard our data transition. It's a deliberate step that not only checks for consistency but also enhances our confidence in the data's accuracy as we prepare for a full system rollout. 💡 General Advice for HRIS Projects Understanding the impact of employee data on downstream systems is crucial. Always audit your data thoroughly to maintain accuracy. Pay attention to differences in field language, such as "Employee ID" vs. "Staff Number", between your old and new systems. When using Excel, ensure your data filters are correctly aligned before sorting, and employ conditional formatting to easily spot duplicates. Utilize formulas like VLOOKUP and =IF to verify data integrity. These practices are vital for ensuring high data quality throughout your project. I’m curious to hear your thoughts and strategies on managing data integrity during system transitions. What practices have you found most effective? #HRIS #DataIntegrity #SystemImplementation #HRTechnology

Ever wondered what was involved in implementing a new HRIS solution? If so, you may have been put off by the enormity of the project and the thought of what upheaval it may bring. Maybe you're unsure of what the process is or don't feel like you have the headspace to start looking at HRIS providers because you don't want to be inundated with sales calls? That's where I usually step in for my clients. I have supported businesses across the UK with their HRIS procurement and implementation needs. I have worked with many HRIS providers on the market so I know the good from the bad, and believe me, there are one's that I won't recommend! :-) My approach is to work with my clients to evaluate what their ask is, what do they want from a system, what are the 'must have's' and what are they wanting to change or improve by bringing in a new system. I learn what their company culture is, how they feel about a new system and what matters to them. This all helps me to put together my recommendations for which systems would work for them. I also support with contract negotiations with the provider. I then offer full project management for the implementation (if required). This includes everything from data cleansing, process mapping, data migration, configuration, user acceptance testing, end user training, workflow design and build, report build and much more. If any of this may be of interest, don't hesitate to reach out for a chat. If you're gearing up for a Workday implementation or considering expanding your internal HRIS team, there's usually an expectation that the initial HRIS Analyst/Manager will handle both integration and hands-on configuration tasks. While finding someone proficient in both areas isn't unheard of, it's rather rare. Typically, these duties fall into two distinct categories: one requires technical prowess, focusing on building integrations from the ground up and ensuring seamless data flow, while the other entails functional expertise, ensuring configurations align with organizational requirements. Recognizing this distinction early on is vital for refining your hiring strategy. If you're uncertain about setting realistic expectations regarding budget, years of experience, and other essential factors, I'd be happy to schedule a conversation to discuss further. 📧 mw@haleinternational.com 📞 917-810-4957 #Workday #WorkdayImplementation #support #haleinternational

💼 Why Having Good HRIS Data is a Big Deal 💼 Let’s talk about something that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves: solid HRIS (Human Resource Information System) data. It might not sound flashy, but trust me, it’s a game changer. 🌟 1️⃣ Smarter Decisions: When your HR data is on point, you’re not just making guesses—you’re making decisions that are backed by real numbers. This helps you plan better, hire smarter, and keep your top talent happy. 2️⃣ Staying on the Right Side of the Law: Good data helps you keep up with all those tricky labor laws and regulations. Plus, it makes reporting a breeze, saving you a lot of headaches down the road. 3️⃣ Better Employee Experience: When your HR data is accurate, your team feels it. Think smoother payroll, personalized development plans, and just an overall better experience for everyone involved. 4️⃣ Efficiency Wins: Clean data in a solid HRIS means less time on boring admin tasks and more time on the projects that really matter—like growing the business. 5️⃣ Looking Ahead: With great data, you can start to see trends and predict what’s coming. It’s like having a crystal ball for your workforce strategy. 🔮 At the end of the day, good HRIS data is all about setting your business up for success. Let’s keep our data clean and use it to build a better, more agile workplace. 💪 #HRIS #WorkSmart #HRData #EmployeeExperience #BusinessGrowth
