I know AI is super useful and a resource here to stay. At South by Southwest, an AI company named Soul Machines has developed AI technology to essentially send an avatar in your place in Zoom meetings. It will transcribe prior meetings so it can effectively respond to 95% of "repeated common questions." I appreciate that technology can aggregate data and prior meeting discussions to appropriately answer. Now this is interesting. Pickle has released their lifelike AI clone software that allows you to have a clone sit in on a meeting for you. Imagine being in the car and not wanting to show yourself driving on Zoom. You can have your clone stand in for you, which displays a realistic version of yourself, in professional attire, saying exactly what you are, with lip-syncing and appropriate eye contact, all happening in real-time! The power of edge processing to enhance the experience is something the article below does a great job of covering. An additional point I would like to emphasize is the enhanced security when the decision making is being done on the edge. Security issues arise when you need to send data to a compute device or to the cloud to make intelligent decisions.
