Screens are stealing the future of our youth. Here’s why, To change this trend, We need to teach them how to Give Back. Today's digital distractions are pulling Gen Z out of reality and into a virtual world. Our youth are growing up in a digital age that prioritises → Likes, → Shares, and → Fleeting online interactions over meaningful human connections. It's not just about donating; it's about → Engaging, → Connecting, and → Being present. This is why, at The Give Back Community, we're making a big pivot. We're not just focusing on Spreading Generosity. We're doubling down on instilling these values in Gen Z. It's about showing them; → The joy in helping others, → The fulfilment in being useful, and → The richness of real-life experiences over digital ones. It’s about teaching the young generation to be of Service and Useful. We're embarking on this journey to weave generosity into the fabric of our future leaders, To teach them the value of looking up from their screens and into the eyes of those who need their help. Your thoughts? How can we further this mission together? Live Generously Umberto ------ PS. I post at 12 pm EST (Mon-Sat). Turn on the notification in case you miss my post.

Why do we all feel so powerless - and what can we do about it? 👇 ▪Communities feel powerless in the face of their challenges and marginalisation ▪Nonprofits feel powerless in the face of mounting demand & shrinking, restrictive funding ▪Grant makers feel powerless in the face of overwhelming need, and low control over funds ▪Foundation Executives feel powerless in the face of mounting critique of their purpose, and a lack of alignment with their boards and funding sources. ▪Boards feel powerless in the face of the ethical, legal and financial lines they have to operate within to fund or create impact. But we're not powerless. When we change our mindset, and find the right community and resources - anything is possible. Our #FixTheFlow Fellowship aims to be just that. A 6-month programme for fundraisers and funders including: Learning Sessions, Systems Change Workshops, Coaching and a Global Peer Community. We're all part of the same system, and we are all Resource Activists within it. Want to join us? Apply by 14th June 👉 https://lnkd.in/evGBu5hX

Imagine losing your voice but never losing the ability to be heard. ElevenLabs is leading the way in how we should be leveraging generative AI to empower those who are truly in need. Through the ElevenLabs Impact Program, they’re partnering with nonprofits to help 1 million people reclaim their voices, especially those affected by conditions like ALS and MND. By offering free licenses, they’re providing access to personalized digital voices that closely match natural speech, giving individuals the chance to preserve and amplify their identities. This is a powerful reminder of how AI can be used not just for innovation but for meaningful, human-centered progress. #AIforGood #GenerativeAI #VoiceTechnology #HumanCenteredAI Justin Hackney Jack Maltby 🔥

"Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need" — Khalil Gibran I was so excited when an amazing leader shared a new resource with me, Daffy. For the last year, my family and I have used this app to seamlessly give to nonprofits creating immense impact in their areas of focus. If you are thinking about giving and unsure of where to give $5, $10 dollars today—consider the following: Academy of Hope Adult PCS: An adult public charter school in DC—an amazing team focused on changing the economic trajectory for adults in DC. The Agora Initiative DC: An initiative focused on connecting female founders to capital, community and connections. Black Girl Ventures: A community that focuses on connecting underrepresented founders to capital, capacity, and community. CivStart: A nonprofit that sparks innovation with local government leaders and nurtures the growth of emerging govtech startups. Jobs for the Future (JFF): A national nonprofit that drives transformation of the U.S. education and workforce systems to achieve equitable economic advancement for all. They do this by designing solutions, scaling best practices, influencing policy and action, and investing in innovation. #GivingTuesday #Community

From the Desk of Dr. Angela D. Reddix 🌟 Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2024 🌟 Friends, Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that reminds us of the power of community and the impact we can make together. It’s a time to come together to support causes close to our hearts. This year, I’m honored to champion Envision Lead Grow (ELG), the nonprofit I founded to transform the lives of girls and women from underserved communities. ELG empowers them through entrepreneurship, mentorship, career and college preparation, and financial education. Since our inception in 2016, we’ve impacted over 3,000 girls across 48 states—girls who are now dreaming big, leading confidently, and building successful futures. On Giving Tuesday, we’ve set a bold goal: Raise $10,000 to expand our reach and provide even more opportunities for these incredible young women. And here’s the beauty of it—it only takes 100 friends giving $100 each to make this goal a reality. Here’s how your $100 can change lives: 🌱 Fund entrepreneurship training that helps girls turn ideas into real businesses. 💡 Provide mentorship that builds confidence and cultivates leadership skills. 🌟 Send a girl to our 5-day summer immersion camp, an unforgettable experience of growth and empowerment. 💪 Empower young women to break barriers and dream without limits. How You Can Help Give: Every contribution counts. Donate here: SUPPORT GIRL BOSSES - Envision Lead Grow CashApp: $EnvisionLeadGrow Text2Give: Text "GIVE" to 844-348-5539 Share: Spread the word by sharing this post with your network. Learn: Explore our work and impact by reading the latest edition of ELG’s newsletter, The Garden. Let’s show what’s possible when a community comes together with generosity and purpose. Together, we can create opportunities, inspire dreams, and empower the next generation of women leaders. Join me in supporting Envision Lead Grow this Giving Tuesday. Together, we can change the world—one girl at a time. #GivingTuesday #EnvisionLeadGrow #EmpowerGirls #100Friends100Dollars #MakeADifference #GirlBosses
