A short understanding of what inspired me to begin building Start With Me. My vision is GRAND, to change the World, and a mission built on the foundation of love, aimed at the one thing we truly have the power to change. Ourselves. "We are, all of us, Stardust, held together by love, for an instant." ~ The Dragon Prince It all began with a marriage falling apart, dragging me into a dark abyss of despair. I was blinded by conventional advice, convinced that a spark in the bedroom would reignite our connection. But the more I tried, the more I realized I was off-track. My marriage ended, and I spiraled into a profound depression. As I sought to understand the roots of my failures, I dove deep into relationship dynamics—uncovering insights about communication, subconscious choices, and emotional needs. As I began my recovery, I found myself on dates that turned into therapy sessions. Each conversation revealed how little people knew about themselves and how transformative even a small insight could be. This epiphany ignited a fire within me: if I had known what I know now, my marriage could have been transformed. I saw firsthand the power of self-awareness and the profound changes it could spark. Driven by a vision for a better future, I realized that not only was I on a path of personal growth, but I was also uniquely positioned to create something groundbreaking. I saw the opportunity to address the systemic flaws in dating apps and to champion the values of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. But my inspiration goes beyond personal experience. I’m deeply concerned about the future of relationships, especially for my son. Society’s current trajectory suggests that by the time he’s ready to marry, the quality of relationships could be even worse. I want to ensure that he—and everyone—has the chance to experience a love story worthy of fairy tales. The change needs to start now. This journey, from heartbreak to hope, has fueled my mission to transform how we approach love and relationships. It’s not just about creating a product; it’s about instilling a movement that will reshape how we connect and commit, ensuring that love prevails for generations to come.
