Keeping a close eye on the bidders who are going to take part in your auction is important if you want to take a pro-active approach to auction management. Not only should you make sure you know who has registered for each auction, and whether they are a bidder you trust, but you should also take a look at their history in your previous auctions. It will tell you so much about their likely interest, now and in the future. https://lnkd.in/gedXzXGs

What is your auction day strategy? Do you have one? I find more often than not that buyers come to auction day unprepared. They haven’t considered their maximum spend on the property and are running purely on emotion. I also find they have considered what to do depending on what outcome has been produced on auction day. Is there 10+ registered bidders? Are you the only bidder? Has the auction paused to negotiate? All of these different outcomes require a different strategy. You should be considering each different outcome and putting an appropriate strategy in place prior to auction day.

Agents: do you introduce your auctioneer to your bidders? By facilitating a conversation, you allow the auctioneer to understand bidders’ motivations and what brought them to the auction that day. This knowledge can be leveraged to influence the auction's direction and extract exceptional outcomes. So, don't overlook the power of a proper introduction. It could be the key to unlocking a successful auction and leaving a lasting impression on your buyers. #auctionstrategy Tim Solly Paul Tzamalis
