Blockers that will stop you progressing as an SDR… How much pressure you can handle. How good the people around you are. How much belief you have in your own ability. How you disciplined you are with forming habits. How patient you are. Never mind SDR progression. This applies to almost anything in life… Agree? P.S. My next next bootcamp cohort is in June: https://lnkd.in/eDM84aFr ♻️ Reshare if you do.

Happy EOM! 🚀 Training is officially over, and today was my first full day on the phones! This month flew by, and I’ve learned a few things as an SDR: - Ask clarifying questions Sometimes, a prospect’s initial response might make you think, “Uh oh, this might not be a fit.” The easy way out is to say okay bye and end the call..But digging deeper with open-ended questions can reveal the truth. - Less is more I've realized that saying things with less words works best for me. I can be wordy at times, so the clearer and shorter my message, the better! - Silence is not bad Let prospects think and avoid talking over them. Listening actively and reading between the lines helps pinpoint their real pain points. In September I booked 4 demos (even without a quota)! Proud of my progress so far—October 🎃here I come! 💪🏽 How was your September? Share something you learned or a win below! 👇🏽

Most SDRs over-complicate getting to AE [me included] But in March, I secured the promotion! 🍾 The secret sauce? Chris Ritson's SDR to AE Bootcamp. Here’s what I loved about the course: 1. The Masterclasses 📚 → They are made in excruciating detail → The content is second to none 2. 1:1 Support ✅ → Chris is an expert in getting SDRs promoted → And he is ALWAYS there for you [even after the course] 3. It’s superb value 📈 → Cash is tight for everyone in 2024 → This could easily be a £2000+ course. It’s not. Look, I've booked a tonne of meetings and was even the top performing BDR in Q4 last year. I had SDR skills, but this course helped me level-up my AE skills. DM me & check it out if you’re looking to be an AE in the next 6 months. 🚀

I guess I'm starting to become "that" SDR. But I don't care. Here's why: Yes, my method is to reach out, but my wording is specific. I don't simply send a blank connection request, OR send a note saying that I JUST want to connect. I send a note stating WHAT I want to connect in regards to, which gives context as to WHY I'm sending a connection request in the first place. I think of this as the digital version of advice I received from Jim Dolan on a cold call. Start with context so you're not ambushing who you're connecting with. (See, I'm learning!) Then, upon accept, I reply with a voice note stating my pitch and why I think it's relevant. My thought track is if it is, they'll respond and say it is, and THEN after a couple of qualifying questions I can ask for a meeting. If it's not, they'll simply say so and we'll both go on about our day. And of course if I get an angry lecture about why I shouldn't be annoying on Linkedin I will...STILL go on about my day. Respectfully, no one has time for that. People are people, business is business, and I'm in the business of doing business with people who understand that. No need to get personal. That's what Facebook is for. #sdr #bdr #sales #socialselling #socialmedia
Life after accepting the LinkedIn connection request of an SDR...

When I launched the SDR to AE bootcamp I thought maybe 10 people would sign-up if I was lucky... 1 year & 5 cohorts later... >200 SDRs have completed the course... More importantly that's >200 SDRs who have learned foundational skills in... - Managing a book of biz - Running Discovery - Multithreading - Doing Demos - Closing Deals - Negotiation + LOTS more [+ >100 are now AEs already] Selling >200 seats is cool. Teaching SDRs skills that so they can WIN at life... Priceless. PS. To celebrate I have an earlybird offer of 25% OFF the next camp [starts Oct 1st]. Use code ''EARLY25'' at checkout: https://lnkd.in/ejFQERRF

If you feel stuck in the SDR role, Chris' course was huge in helping me: 1. Demystify the AE role (you don't know what you don't know) Chris opens your eyes to knowledge gaps which allows you to intentionally develop yourself in those areas. 2. The benefits then compound to give you huge confidence in your ability to be perform, which allows you to interview better 3. There are great practical strategies that allow you to immediately up your game as an SDR, let alone as an AE You’ll get the knowledge either way… I’d rather pay money, shorten my time horizon, and receive some elses’s hard earned knowledge vs. Struggle my way through and slowly aquire the knowledge on my own.

Want to be an AE in 2025? [connect with these 10 SDRs who became AEs...] 1. Michael Field 2. André Paraskeva 3. Timothy Weaver 4. Alex Pepe 🟡 5. @henryglide 6. Samantha Raoult 7. Jack Vesztrocy 8. Jack Cooke 9. Ellisse Morey 10. Richard Gannon They all went from SDR to AE. Here's what they had in common... 1. Resilience -- they all got knock backs on their journey to AE. They kept going. 2. Hit quota -- they all focused on hitting their SDR quota whilst learning AE skills. 3. Coachable -- they all admitted they didn't 'know it all' about sales and invested in learning. 4. Patience -- they took their time, worked hard and earned their stripes. 5. Easy to work with -- they're all 'good eggs' and genuinely nice people who are easy to get along with. For me - number 5 is SO underrated by most SDRs who want to be AEs. My advice -- control the controllable, do the work and be easy to get on with. What's missing from the list? 📌 My SDR to AE Bootcamp closes next Friday. 16/30 seats available.

My champions rarely hold the budget: [they're SDRs who wanna be AEs] This 1 slide [below] has helped me close >£80k in 2024. It's my ''exec one-slider''. I give it to SDRs who are serious about joining my SDR to AE Bootcamp. They then give it to their leaders to get budget. Why it works? - Controls the narrative - Focuses on the problem - Keeps the ''pitch'' concise The aim is to help the SDR sell. Enable the champion. De-risk the deals. PS. If you want to be an AE feel free to steal the biz case to get budget approval! Comment ''DM'' if you want the 1-pager 👇
