I'm sat in a coffee shop writing a business plan and tears start coming to my eyes. Here's why... At LICK Ice Cream we are looking for investment to expand into a franchise model (among other areas). So, I came down to Bloc in Holmfirth for a great coffee and some inspiration. I've plowed through the business plan document, and thought I'd add a little extra on the end - 'What our Customers Say'. Scrolling through I read the one in the image below, and my eyes literally started welling up. Who would possibly think that delicious dairy free ice cream could have such a profound impact on a little boy's life, and his family. The last part reads, "To the owners, you may have made this place dairy free for personal and environmental reasons, but I want you to know that your choices have had the most monumental impact on us. To be able to tell our son "pick whatever you want" is all we have ever wanted to do and you made this possible for the very first time. We thank you from the bottom of of hearts. Xxx" Rachel D. is the founder of this incredible business, a business I've had the privilege of being a part of for the last 10 months. Oh my god. Stop!!! Why are you making us all cry?! ❤️❤️❤️
Brought a tear to my eye, too. Wow. I can also vouch for how good Lick is – I've tried it!
Great Post Andrew, good coffee from the Bloc always helps with insightful heart felt inspiration 🍦☕👏.
That is lovely! I’m not surprised that you’re welling up!! Fantastic ❤️
Feedback like this makes the ups and downs of running a business feel so much worth while 🙌 Me and my husband used to run a GF bakery and I can remember getting some lovely feedback from a customer and her little boy that had travelled miles to try our products. It certainly makes the long hours and uncertainty of running a business feel worthwhile! Keep up the great work 👏
I can relate to this. We went through it with our son. I remember taking him and my nephew there who is dairy intolerant aswell. There little eyes lit up when they realised they could eat whatever they wanted. Sounds like you just found a whole new target market.
Keep up the fantastic work.
What a moving review. It just shows that we can often make impact that we don't realise at the time.
Such an emotional review! Lick totally made that boy’s day ❤️
