We recently had a site inspection for a soon-to-open resort in Penang, and it truly left an impression. As I shared this photo with my colleagues, the immediate response was a surprised "Wah, how many more hotels are opening in Penang?" What excites me most about these pre-opening projects or even rebranding efforts is the unique opportunity I have as a Marcom to set the brand standard from the ground up (following the Brand Guidelines of course) *wink* Having worked on several pre-opening projects, I can say it gets exciting every time. Being involved from the start means I can shape the narrative, tone, and visual identity of the brand, ensuring it aligns with the brand values while appealing to its target audience. Although we are an agency thats hired by the brand to execute the branding/marketing effort, it’s an incredibly rewarding process to be part of, and we take pride in ensuring that the hotel is presented with its best foot forward even before it officially opens its doors.
