Below are a few key things an owner should be aware of when seeking a property management company to oversee their real estate investment. 1. Look for a management company that has integrity, exceptional customer service (for tenants and owners), high occupancy rates, and clear communication. 2. Make sure the management company and its employees/contractors have the required licenses to operate. 3. If your property accepts public housing, make sure that the property manager has the knowledge and experience of housing requirements. 4. Exceptional references. Do not hesitate to get a referral.
