My need for inner quiet guides me to seek efficiency. Just like in taijiquan practice. There are no unnecessary movements. Similarly, in aikido practice, only the essential movements are strict. a. Prioritizing essential activities to achieve satisfaction and progress. b. Embracing the concept of essentialism to focus on the few things that truly matter. Today is the first day of Kwanzaa and the theme of the day is Umoja, or unity. 2024 has been a wrecking ball to our communities. Division has plagued our national and global politics, our spiritual communities, our workplaces, and our families around the world. From a spiritual perspective, I think the shift to create more peace on earth will require more unification, more Umoja, among all people who hope for a more loving world.
