Trifluridine and tipiracil, when combined, show promise in inhibiting cancer cell growth and improving overall survival, particularly with bevacizumab. Lung cancer screening can save lives, but for some reason people at risk for the disease aren't doing it. Less than 6% of American eligible for lung cancer screening actually get screened. Treating HER2-positive advanced breast cancer Advancements in treatment for human epidermal receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer has led to better survival of patients and the researchers are exploring new ways to overcome resistance mechanisms. Targets for the treatment include not only HER2 (both at the extra- and intracellular level), but also HER3, PD-(L)1, CTLA4, NKG2A, AKT, PI3K, and, in triple-positive tumors, the estrogen receptors and the cyclin-dependent kinases 4/6 .
