🎉 Celebrating a True Hero: Military Working Dog Ares 🎉 This week, Military Working Dog Ares was honored in a heartwarming retirement ceremony at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Surrounded by his handler, Sydney, and an admiring community, Ares was recognized for nearly 8 years of extraordinary service as a Patrol Explosive Detector Dog. From deployments abroad to critical work at home, Ares protected countless lives with unwavering courage and loyalty. As he enters retirement, we will provide Ares with the lifelong veterinary care he needs to stay healthy and happy. This holiday season, Sam Rose—a loyal friend of American Humane—has generously donated $250,000 to support our lifesaving programs. He’s challenging compassionate supporters like you to join him. Your gift will DOUBLE the impact of Sam Rose’s generosity, helping provide critical care for heroes like Ares and countless animals in need. 🎁 Honor heroes like Ares this holiday season and make twice the impact: https://bit.ly/4frRnbb

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Memorial Day 🐾 As we gather to commemorate Memorial Day, let's take a moment to honor not only the brave men and women who have served our country but also the courageous service dogs who have stood alongside them. As you celebrate this important day, remember that large gatherings and celebrations can be overwhelming for our dogs. Here are a few tips to ensure they stay comfortable and safe during Memorial Day festivities: PROVIDE A QUIET SPACE: If you’re hosting or attending a busy event, make sure there’s a quiet, safe spot for your dog to retreat to if the festivities get too overwhelming. MONITOR FOOD AND TREATS: With barbecues and outdoor meals, be vigilant about what your dog might snatch up. Keep unhealthy or unsafe foods out of reach. KEEP THEM SECURE: If your celebration includes a lot of coming and going, make sure your dog can't slip out through an open door. Check that your yard is secure if they'll be spending time outside. FIREWORKS - if you are attending a fireworks celebration leave your dogs safelyat home. Let’s ensure this Memorial Day is enjoyable for everyone in the family, including our four-legged friends. Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy Memorial Day! #MemorialDay #HonorOurHeroes #ServiceDogs #Veterans #JoyfulDog #VirginiaDogTrainer #DogTrainer #TimetoTrain

Today, several Triangle Veterans had the honor of meeting with the team at Charlie Mike, a local non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of veterans grappling with unseen wounds of combat, one veteran at a time. Charlie Mike's mission resonates with the belief that standing together at home, just as they did during wartime, can facilitate each other's journey back to a fulfilling life. During our visit, we delved into one of Charlie Mike's cornerstone programs: the Canine Battle Buddy Training Program. Dogs have proven to be invaluable companions in addressing emotional needs, with documented outcomes showing that emotional support and therapy animals significantly contribute to emotional healing and stability. These benefits are directly linked to reduced suicide rates and the cultivation of a renewed sense of purpose in veterans' lives. The team at Charlie Mike identifies and rescues dogs from animal shelters, transforming them into "battle buddies" trained to support veterans. In this process, they are not only saving the lives of these animals but also offering vital support to veterans in need. This initiative is just one of the three pillars of support that Charlie Mike offers to veterans. At Triangle, we take pride in our partnership with Charlie Mike and remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting their noble cause. If you know a veteran who could benefit from their services, please share the link with them. The battle against unseen wounds is often silent and unnoticed, but together, we can help Charlie Mike in their mission to save veterans' lives, one at a time. https://loom.ly/deOq13g

On this Veterans Day, we want to take a moment to thank all the brave men and women who have served our country. Your sacrifices, dedication, and courage inspire us all. Here at HSNT, we are also reminded of the healing bond between veterans and their pets. For many, the unconditional love of a pet can provide comfort, companionship, and a sense of peace. This Veterans Day, we celebrate not only our service members but also the countless shelter pets waiting for their forever homes, offering them a chance to bring joy and healing into the lives of those who have served. Are you a veteran looking for a loyal companion? Through our new partnership with Pets for Patriots®, we’re thrilled to offer waived adoption fees on select pets for veterans! To see if you qualify, simply apply at petsforpatriots.org (approval takes about 48 hours) before completing your adoption. You don’t need to have a specific pet in mind when you apply—just start the process and discover your new best friend! Thank you, veterans, for everything you do. We are grateful for your service. #VeteransDay #ThankYouForYourService #HeroicBonds #SupportVeterans #AdoptDontShop #ShelterPets #HSNT #PetsforPatriots #VeteransAndPets #RescuePetsForVets #SupportOurVeterans #AdoptLoveSaveALife See less

So powerful and so memorable
Warrior Rescue (501c3 Nonprofit) “One of the most powerful pictures from the day. Marines Alexander Nauert, MBA supporting each while CPL Christian Brown stands to give our son Jaden Keuhner his first salute. I’ve thought about this picture so much over the last two days. This picture defines loyalty, commitment, sacrifice, love and brotherhood all in one picture. -David Keuhner 🙏🇺🇸❤️

That Wasaline chooses Wenaas is based not only on the fact that we offer a well-adapted range for their working environment, but also on Wenaas' ESG work (Environmental – Social – Corporate Governance), which played an important role in the choice of supplier. Even you can make a difference in your daily choices
How can we make a difference in our daily choices? A majority of our crew's workwear comes from Wenaas Workwear AB. From every piece of clothing ordered, a small donation is made to Mercy Ships on our behalf. Mercy Ships is an organization that provides health care services and training in developing countries. For example, the staff of the hospital ship Global Mercy operated on 2,300 persons and trained hundreds of health care staff during a recent visit to Sierra Leone. 22 to ZERO......... This is the mantra of The Veterans Ranch. At a bare minimum we are losing 22 Veterans a day to suic!de (not misspelled, done to not get throttled). These are just the ones we know about. That is a minimum 22 military funerals. 22 families no loner whole, and asking the big question WHY. 22 families of children that will never have one of their parents see them grow up, play sports, or walk them down the isle. Does this make you sad? Does this make you uncomfortable? It should do both of those things. We need to talk more about this I stead of sweeping it under the rug and acting like it doesn't happen. This is what The Veterans Ranch is here to fight for. To educate the public that this is a real pandemic that needs serious attention paid to it number one, and number two we are asking for your help. Because counting today we will have lost over 4,000 great Americans that still had something to offer this great nation. So, #today we are asking you, your family, your friends, church members, co-workers and even strangers on the street to #please go to www.theveteransranch.org and make a monthly contribution of at least $22 a month. For just .73 cents a day you can truly make a difference in these families lives. You can help keep these families whole. The free equine therapy services that we offer truly change lives for the better, but we can not do it alone. So, please go to that site today and make that contribution and know that you are doing some amazing things for some amazing people. We thank you for your support.

Help support retired working dogs - save this date 10/4/2024 As you may know, upon my retirement I have championed Project K-9 Hero #PK9H - https://projectk9hero.org/, a non-profit whose purpose is to ensure the best quality of life for our nation’s retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs by providing assistance with medical costs, prescription food, rehabilitation, rehoming, and end-of-duty services. The US military classes their working dogs like any other “equipment”, to be disposed of after their useful life. Although retired working dogs can now be adopted at their end of service, their medical expense are no longer covered in retirement; and are typically much more expensive than a normal family pet (given their job while in service). These expenses are beyond retired handlers’ families’ financial capabilities. In comes #PK9H to fund these heroes’ medical expenses, food, and appropriate military end of life service. Medical expenses for retired Police working dogs too are often left to the adopted handlers’ families. Worse, injuries or illness requiring emergency veterinary care are often a deciding factor in smaller police departments deciding to euthanize these working dogs. Again, in steps #PK9H to cover these costs. Whether you are a golfer, and can participate in this fund-raising golf tournament, a golfer who cannot make it to Newport NH 10/4/2024, or you are a working dog lover – you can help. Sponsor yourself, sponsor someone else, select from other sponsorships available to offset the cost of the tournament allowing proceeds to go directly to #PK9H – to the retired working dogs. With almost three hundred retired K-9 Heroes in #PK9H's program, the time has come to build a Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility to care for more working dogs in need. This facility will save more lives by supporting and furthering the mission, allowing #PK9H staff to provide an enriching, safe, and healthy environment for retired Heroes in need of an immediate home. Learn about this facility here: https://lnkd.in/eT78_A4M. The inaugural fund-raising golf tournament will be held Friday October 4th, 2024, at the Newport Golf Club (Newport NH). It will feed the creation of the Rehabilitation & Rehoming Facility. Please save this date, and keep an eye out for more tournament information soon. I would love your support. And, NH in October is beautiful – play golf and enjoy some personal time in our great state.
