I want to educate people about this graph and why I made this. In hot and dry climates, cooling is more than just a matter of comfort—it's a critical issue tied to energy security and sustainability. The graph provides a visual representation of various cooling options available in such climates, and it highlights some essential insights: Fans (Air Cooling): At temperatures around 35°C, many households turn to fans for relief. However, this option only provides temporary comfort, as the cooling effect is minimal and is based on evaporation of sweat. The "feels like" temperature remains high, offering little respite from the heat where it stops being effective once temperatures have crossed 37 Deg C. Air + Water Cooling (Coolers): Desert coolers, which utilize water evaporation, are effective up to a certain point, typically around 40°C. However, once temperatures exceed this threshold, their efficiency plummets, leaving users in discomfort and making a big whooing sound. You have to have lived in New Delhi once to experience this. Air Conditioners (HFC-based): Traditional air conditioners are rated for energy efficiency at around 35°C. However, as temperatures rise, these systems consume significantly more energy to maintain cooling, pushing operational costs higher and increasing the strain on the energy grid, add consistent heatwaves to this mix and you end up refrigerant leakages and inadequate cooling. This makes air conditioners a less viable option for those at the bottom of the economic pyramid, and it raises concerns about energy consumption on a national scale. #BEE is worried about this. AMBIATOR (Air + Water with Advanced Technology): The AMBIATOR technology stands out in this scenario. Unlike traditional air conditioners, it provides effective cooling in extreme temperatures without the excessive energy use. This makes it a sustainable and cost-effective alternative, particularly for regions that experience extremely hot and dry climates, and, has the potential to go off-grid with Solar PV. This does address an Energy Security problem that India faces with a Net Zero target of 2070.
Tiger Aster .. You did not provide any detail about how Ambiator performs better than the other two options. Plz advise where can I find the literature to your technology or product ? What are the system limitations.. Secondly, majority of the countries where AC is used are hot and humid.
Thank you for sharing this insightful analysis! 🌞 The graph clearly illustrates the limitations of traditional cooling methods in hot and dry climates and underscores the importance of innovative solutions like AMBIATOR. It's crucial to consider both energy efficiency and sustainability as we tackle the challenges posed by rising temperatures. The potential for AMBIATOR to operate off-grid with Solar PV is particularly promising for energy security and achieving India's Net Zero target by 2070. Great work highlighting these critical issues! 👏 #EnergyEfficiency #Sustainability #ClimateChange #Innovation #NetZero2070
Very nice graphical depiction for hot and dry climate cooling options - easy to understand by any layman.
AMBIATOR sounds like a game-changer for regions with extreme heat. The combination of effective cooling and energy efficiency is impressive.

4moTiger, most refrigerant technicians do not or do not want to understand how badly R410a and R32 air conditioning units perform and the amount of power they use when the ambient temp goes over 40 degrees Celsius.
