A question for my fleet manager friends: Do you measure the cost driver downtime, and if so, what is an hour of your driver’s time worth? Can you also tell me what their job is (pharma sales, service technician, etc)? If you don’t want to post the answer here, please send me a private message. Thanks for your help.

⚡When I worked for Van Horn Automotive Group, one thing was clear. The marketing department rarely suffered from a lack of creativity. This year, tasked with recruiting the highly valued auto tech, this commercial was the first one out of the can. Not only does Matt Stone 💻🎨 make his acting debut, but he gets to put the waders on at the same time. 😎 Anyone in automotive knows that recruiting and retaining auto techs is not easy, but that part is handled by someone else. Creating awareness, excitement and curiosity through messaging is for the marketing people. It's a pretty good message. 🎉 Putting all the marketing minds together and working with great crews like 3barn, make cool things happen. Can't wait to see the next one. #vanhornautos #marketing #automotive #recruiting

Employers should run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check on potential hires to ensure safety, manage risk, and protect their business. This check verifies that candidates have a clean driving history. Here are just a few reasons why you should include this in your hiring process: ✔️ Reduces the risk of accidents and legal liabilities. ✔️ Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly in industries like transportation. ✔️ Minimizes the company's liability exposure in the event of an accident. ✔️ A clean driving record reflects a company's commitment to professionalism and safety, which enhances its image among clients and customers. ✔️ For businesses that rely on company vehicles, MVR checks protect valuable assets and help avoid costly repairs caused by negligent driving. Safeguard your business, employees, and customers! Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gUt7enjp.

***THE POWER OF THE PEN*** If you’re willing to put the time into following policy and procedure, it will pay off. Through the years I’ve seen technicians get so frustrated about warranty times. Listen, it’s always easy to play the blame game and point fingers at the OEM. Are we putting effort into following the guidelines??? 🤔 This claim below is a well written Pencilwrench LLC story for two concerns where no problem was found. The claim was submitted, reviewed for a day, and then paid the next. 2 hours of diagnosis paid and the technician is made whole rather than wasting time and not being paid for it. Follow the rules and it will pay off!! Proper story will get you properly paid everytime! You can buy hoses from a lot of places, but only PIRTEK Knoxville can sell you time. Don't believe me? Let's look at a job from yesterday afternoon. Customer calls and says he has a hot job. Need someone fast. The PIRTEK Knoxville team jumps into action. + 0:02 Dispatcher identifies closest technician and assigns job + 0:03 Tech accepts job and reaches out to site contact with ETA + 0:29 Tech arrives on site + 0:57 Repair completed, machine tested and ready to go In less than one hour, the customer was back to work. That customer called this morning to say thanks for the quick response. I asked him how long it used to take for something like this and here is his best guestimate: - 30 minutes to find the leak and remove the hose (his guys aren't mechanics and don't have great tools) - 20 minutes to drive to a hose counter - 30 minutes to have the hose made - 20 minutes to drive back - 20 minutes to put the hose back on Total DIY time of 2+ hours. This crew took lunch while my tech worked, so in total we gave them back 90 minutes of their day. What could your team do with an extra 90 minutes every day? PIRTEK Knoxville - We don't sell hoses. We sell time.

I’m working on three core pillars to set Revv up for long term success: elevate, expand, embed. Part one: Elevate We’re primarily focused on elevating our core product to help our customers generate revenue and protect liability with best-in-class vehicle safety repairs. Here’s how. → We’re programmatically capturing the thousands of data points we get every single day from customers using our product → We’re building a team of in-house technicians to continuously audit and update the intelligence of our product → We’re making our documentation offering more robust for the processing of insurance claims → We’re offering ever more integration option for our customers to support whatever infrastructure they’re using Optimizing and fortifying our product from all angles means we’re constantly offering the best possible services to the repair industry. The F&I Dept is in love… With selling extended warranty contracts. Consumers (including myself) love buying them as they hedge against unexpected (which means all) repairs that inevetibly happen to used vehicles for just a few bucks more in their monthly payment. It’s time that Service Advisors and ASMs alike embrace and get in front of extended warranty policies and learn to work with them instead of against them. Our jobs are to help clients maintain their vehicles and when it’s time to repair them, you show them the best valued way of doing so. I’m curious to know some of the GOOD interactions that some of you may have had with an extended warranty.
