#Funding #Investors #VentureCapital Almost everywhere we look I see amazing people working on (usually) awesome business ideas that are looking for funding. But realistically investors are far and few - in the classical investor definition. So before you invest way too much time in the process (which can easily take up to 2 years) we sat down with the high growth SaaS venture capital legend that is Clive Butkow to get a better sense of what investors really look for, common misconceptions around investments and - perhaps more optimistically - what you can (and should) do to grow your business idea into an amazing business without having early stage investors. As always Clive is a legend. His answers are clear, easy to follow and wonderfully practical. But in the end it is his passion and optimism I so love. An absolute must see short course. And it is free of charge. Hope it helps you in your journey! Let us know what you think. https://lnkd.in/eX-qy2kN

Secondaries are the most under-utilized tool in investing. We use them to invest in all Top 20 pre-IPO tech companies in one portfolio 👇 People who don’t know about secondaries cannot understand how we’ve built a portfolio with all of the Top 20 pre-IPO tech companies. In this video, I break it down so everyone can understand. And I explain how our investment strategy works. With secondaries, we can buy low, sell high — and repeat the process again and again. Feel free to share this post with anyone you think should know about this. If these two are not there it is also trashed. 5 out of 10,000 companies get VC capital that's 0.05%. You are wasting your time trying to get VC capital. Founders raising equity capital at the seed stage, often take VC and PE firms to be similar. Please note they are quite different in their approach, types of companies they are seeking for. Understanding these basics helps in investor scoping and matching. #Founders #Investment
