Race is a social construct designed by white European colonialists (supremacists) specifically for the purpose of: 1. To justify the slaughter and enslavement of indigenous and tribal peoples and the theft of their territory and artifacts. 2. To create and maintain a dehumanized economic underclass they could control, dominate and exploit for economic gain or scapegoat for social and political purposes. Today, the mainstream belief among scientists is that race is a social construct without biological meaning. Racial categories are weak proxies for genetic diversity that are too simplistic for scientific inquiry and as such need to be phased out. Colonialism and everything stemming from its white supremacist ideology is inherently evil and damaging to humanity, nature and all living things. Abstract: This article examines the debates over historiographical uses of the terms race, racism, and ethnicity in the study of the premodern past. It begins with an analysis of conventional approaches to defining race, which understand the concept to be fundamentally modern and reject uses of the term in the study of the premodern world. Such, conventional approaches to historicizing race are predicated on problematically essentialist definitions of the term that preclude comparisons of varying types of racism that manifest across different historical periods. The article spotlights some of the arguments in favor of formulations of race and racism that allow for comparative analyses of premodern instances of racism, relying on the ideas of scholars working in race theory, philosophy of race, and premodern critical race studies. It also puts forward a working model of racism useful for analyzing examples of race-thinking found in Christian texts of the late antique period, focusing specifically on negative significations of blackness. Fascist regimes rely on extensive propaganda and media control to shape public opinion and promote a uniform worldview. The following are some core features of fascist systems: Media Control and Alignment: Through censorship and propaganda, critical voices are suppressed, and the media becomes a tool of those in power. Exclusion and Persecution of Dissenters: Critics and minorities are marginalized, persecuted, or even eliminated. Dismantling of Democratic Structures: Fascist regimes undermine democratic institutions and prevent independent political participation. Creation of Enemy Figures and Division: Unity is enforced through the invention of common enemies. Social division between groups is deliberately fostered to control society. Constant Propaganda and Ideological Indoctrination: Aggressive campaigns enforce a single ideological “truth.” Suppression of Diverse Opinions: Fascist systems do not tolerate deviation from their ideology and rigorously pursue dissent. Disregard for Human Rights: Basic human rights are violated as people are often exploited and used as tools within the system. Violence and Coercion: Fascist regimes use violence, forced recruitment, and repression to secure power and enforce their ideology. Crimes Against Humanity: This includes genocide, torture, and other crimes used as means of social "cleansing." Intertwinement of State and Religion: Religious institutions may be leveraged to strengthen control over the population and maintain power structures. Historically, fascism has proven to be a destructive force that destabilizes society and gravely violates fundamental human rights. To prevent the resurgence of fascist structures, it is crucial to recognize the early signs of authoritarian developments and firmly oppose anti-democratic tendencies.
