Gymshark are the latest brand to join the online entertainment space with their new show: HIIT IT OFF- https://lnkd.in/eihzhSFJ They’ve joined the OGs Red Bull and new golden child FOOTASYLUM (plus a few others!) in this "TV-style" social media content. This trend presents a massive opportunity for other brave brands. Why is this exciting? The UK TV industry is struggling to produce fresh content, particularly for the 16-35 demographic. Most broadcasters are only just starting to commission original content for social media, but it's still in a transitional phase (with C4.0 leading the charge!). Brands need to keep producing relevant, interesting content for their audience. A longer form of social media content, if done correctly, can see a huge increase in engagement and watch hours compared to short-form content. Owning Your IP: The most exciting, longer-term benefit (in my humble opinion!) is the underlying value in longer-form entertainment. Over the coming years, brands will begin to discover the value of the IP behind a format and the myriad of ways this can be licensed, distributed and broadcast. As this new production & distribution model continues to emerge there will be exciting opportunities, for those brave enough, to stand out. Give me a shout if you want to explore how you can exploit digital entertainment formats. 🎥 📈

Not usually a fan of gym content, but this is very watchable and the presenter chemistry (and individual personalities) is a great fit too. Also want to know if it’s an in-house team or external company!
So very true Alex Kempner ! Here Here!
