🌼🐝 What is an API? A Sweet Explanation! 🐝🌼 Think of an API as a hardworking bee, buzzing between your app (the hive 🐝) and a server (the flower 🌸) to gather all the nectar (data) your app needs to make honey (functionality)! 🍯 APIs bridge the gap, letting your software communicate effortlessly with external services and bringing back all the goodness in a structured format, usually JSON. Whether you’re building an app or making calls to external services, APIs are your best friend in connecting the digital world! 🌍✨ #APIs #TechSimplified #DeveloperLife #CodeBuzz #DigitalTransformation

🔌 Plugins are WeWeb's bread and butter. They help you extend the functionality of your app by connecting to third-party services, or by adding custom features. Here’s a quick look at what’s possible: 🔄 Data Sources: Fetch and interact with data seamlessly. 🔐 Authentication: Secure user logins with ease. 🎨 Extensions: Elevate your app with maps, charts, payments, and more. Curious about connecting multiple data sources or the right way to authenticate users? We've got all the resources to help you configure your plugins without a hitch. https://bit.ly/3VzDAZQ #Plugins #NoCode #AppDevelopment

I built an unstyled Owen Wilson Wow app using WeWeb today. I played around with connecting elements from the page to external data that I grabbed from the following api: https://lnkd.in/gNdGwBCB #weweb #nocode #webapp #learninpublic

Adding infinite scroll to our #nextjs app to continuously load data from #supabase has been a huge quality of life update for our users. Using useRef and useCallback hooks, I set up an IntersectionObserver to detect when the last visible item in the list enters the viewport. This acts as the signal to call a Supabase RPC that queries for the next items in the feed. What's your preferred method for implementing an infinite scroll?

New app on the Latenode platform! 👏 A new app, Supabase, was added to our no-code library in just 75 hours! Supabase is a cool tool for building websites and mobile apps, rocking PostgreSQL for its database needs. It lets you use SQL queries, scales with your project, and throws in some awesome extras for devs, like auto-created APIs and live updates. Here's what you can include in your automations: - 1 Supabase trigger - 12 Supabase actions What do you think about this news? We will be happy when you tell us about using the new tools! 🔗 If you want to prioritize an app you need – order Fast-Track App Release for just $100. Link in the comments 👇

Imagine the following situation: you created a superb app suiting your use cases perfectly, loads of unit tests, and even a pile of well-designed integration tests. Seemingly nothing to worry about. And then the database gets involved. Gert Driljeux and Alain Van Hout encountered the same issue and used Testcontainers to solve it. Read how in their blog post: Testcontainers to the rescue! https://loom.ly/CBcd0Ec #testcontainers #integrationtests

We know APEX is great. OCI AI Agents are great. How about we combine them, so you get the best of APEX app development and leverage a managed service for RAG, right from your own APEX app, with your own data. Marc published on update for the guide created by Anshuman and you now have all you need to get started - it takes less than 20 minutes. VBCS integration coming next. https://lnkd.in/dBavVytC Vinod Kevin Lyudmil

shit APIs… why we can’t have nice things 💩 Today I’m trying to send a simple payload through a cli ultimately to an api into some app. Field “custom_tc_owner” is actually called “custom_custom_tc_owner”… but that’s not the bad part. What you think the VALUE is for custom_custom_tc_owner? My email address? Nope. Name? Nope. Docs say “user type fields are [first last]”.. nope. Hmmm 🤔 Sigh. Let’s assume it sucks. Go to my user profile, look in the url… user/142 You guessed it - custom_custom_tc_owner:142 works GREAT… I have profoundly unkind things to say to the dev team about this 🤣😡🤦♂️
