𝐄𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 . While working with the project, the DBA's primary responsibilities focused on supporting project-related database operations and collaborating with the development team. . Key activities included setting up test environments to facilitate application testing and resolving access issues. . Specifically, the DBA cloned the primary database to create a dedicated test server, enabling the development team to validate newly created applications. . Additionally, the DBA addressed a user access issue reported by the development team. . After investigating server logs and identifying a temporary server load that disrupted login attempts, the DBA ensured the database returned to optimal functioning, allowing users to resume access without further problems. . These efforts ensured seamless database operations and supported the successful progression of project tasks. #shainfotech #upendraroy #itcareer #careerguidance #careeradvice

🚨 ATTENTION ALL! 🚨 My Friend got FIRED because....... A friend of mine recently got fired because of a serious issue with a bank transfer process, and I think it’s a critical lesson for all developers working with databases. Imagine a customer initiates a bank transfer, extracting money from one account and depositing it into another. Now, imagine the transfer fails, and when the customer checks their accounts, the money is missing from both. 😱💸 As the developer responsible for this, my friend got fired. The problem? He missed implementing a simple but crucial feature: a TRANSACTION statement. 🔄 TRANSACTIONS are often overlooked in database operations and scripts, but they can make a world of difference. Here’s how they work: ✨ TRANSACTIONS keep all data operations between the start and end/commit in a temporary state. Only when you commit the transaction do all the changes take effect in the database. If there’s an error, you can roll back the transaction, reverting all operations no matter how many were performed. ✨ Here’s how to use Transactions effectively: 1️⃣ Start a transaction. 2️⃣ Perform the necessary operations. 3️⃣ If all operations complete without error, commit the transaction. 4️⃣ If there are any errors, roll back the transaction. Transactions and Try/Catch blocks are inseparable pieces of code, ensuring that all operations are either fully completed or fully rolled back, preventing data inconsistency. 🔐 Implementing transactions can save you from data inconsistencies and prevent scenarios that could cost you your job. Make sure to include them in your database operations and scripts to ensure data integrity and reliability. 🚀 Stay vigilant and keep your data safe! 🔒 Attached image has practical example using T-SQL in SQL Server. . . . #job #fired #database #databasemanagement #Transactions #sql #commit #important #sqlserver #developer #dataintegrity #developerlife #codingbestpractices #optimization #bestpractices

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡? A checkpoint is a mechanism used in database management systems to: ✅ Save all modified data to disk. ✅ Ensure the database is in a consistent state. ✅ Speed up recovery by starting from the checkpoint instead of the beginning of the log. For example, in SQL Server, you can issue a manual checkpoint using: 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐂𝐊𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓; Many systems, like PostgreSQL, automate checkpoints to optimize performance. Checkpoints reduce recovery time, maintain data integrity, and are crucial for handling unexpected failures. #checkpoint #dbms #database #datarecovery #arfin #arfinparween #startpracticing #dataengineering

https://lnkd.in/d-vWJwXn Learn in simple terms: A database deadlock occurs when two or more transactions are waiting indefinitely for each other to release locks on resources, resulting in a deadlock situation where none of the transactions can proceed. Deadlocks can lead to system slowdowns, timeouts, and disruptions in database operations if not addressed promptly.
