Assalamualaikum everyone! Last weekend, I participated in the Pakistan Cyber Security Challenge (PCC) CTF Qualifiers with my team, "Sud03r5," in the Students division. Alhumdulillah, we secured 4th place in the qualifiers, earning a spot in the finals at Air University, Islamabad. It was an amazing experience! A big shoutout to Team AirOverflow for organizing and putting together such an amazing event! Kudos to my incredible teammates, Abdullah Shahbaz and Hassan Faraz, for their outstanding teamwork. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without them.

Delighted to have finished the imf singapore regional training institute's course on Cyber Risk Regulation and Supervision as part of a great teaching team of RAVIKUMAR RANGACHARY and Emran Islam . A great response from the delegates who brought great credit to their diverse range of countries (Countries ranging in size from China to the Maldives, by populations from India to Tonga and alphabetically from Bangladesh to Vietnam.) The STI were excellent hosts and huge credit must go to Alina Tan and her colleagues, particularly given the demands placed on the infrastructure by the cyber simulation exercise. #cyber, #imf

🔍 Excited to share that I've just completed the CIS Critical Security Control 18: Penetration Testing (v8) course on Cybrary! 🎓💼 Penetration testing plays a crucial role in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities within an organization's systems and networks. Through this comprehensive course, I've gained a deep understanding of the methodologies, techniques, and best practices involved in conducting effective penetration tests. From reconnaissance and information gathering to exploitation and reporting, the course covered the entire penetration testing lifecycle, providing me with valuable insights into how to assess and mitigate security risks proactively. A big thank you to Cybrary for offering such an informative and engaging course! The hands-on labs and practical exercises were instrumental in solidifying my understanding and preparing me to apply these skills in real-world scenarios. I'm eager to leverage this knowledge to help organizations enhance their security posture and defend against cyber threats effectively. Whether you're new to penetration testing or looking to advance your skills, I highly recommend checking out Cybrary's courses. Here's to continuous learning and staying ahead in the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity! 🛡️🔐 #Cybrary #PenetrationTesting #Cybersecurity #ContinuousLearning #InfoSec #EthicalHacking

Leaving the military in cyber has been one of the weirdest things i’ve ever experienced. I’ve seen friends turned down because they had OSCP but no CEH, GCFA but no GCIH, GREM but no GCIH, etc. The one thing i’ve learned is that advanced classes don’t translate correctly. As military, you recieve the training but not the years, and in the industry the only way you can survive as a top 75th percentile is by word of mouth. The Gaussian distribution in recruiting doesn’t benefit those who overachieve.

I had the opportunity to present on Riga Business School 's CSOT and MERIT programs, highlighting their crucial role in developing IT leadership skills. It's fascinating to see how these programs align with Norwich University 's approach - bridging the gap between technical knowledge and effective leadership in the IT field. Also touched on our AI Studio project and delved into the latest advancements and core mission in the cyber AI space. We explored how artificial intelligence is transforming both cyber threats and defense mechanisms, reshaping the future of digital security. Key takeaways: -Leadership in IT is more critical than ever -Clear communication of technical concepts is a must-have skill -AI is reshaping the cybersecurity battlefield
Our summer of Cyber continues! This week, we were thrilled to host the Latvian Cyber Delegation. Our high school students at OSINT Academy Camp, together with the staff at Norwich University and Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI), facilitated an amazing exchange of knowledge and prowess. Alongside this, they got to immerse themselves in our engaging OSINT Academy Camp! 🎥: Student Intern Dan Luciani
