The energy transmission challenge has become even more relevant nowadays. Along with the ongoing energy transition, we will undoubtedly observe fewer oil and gas pipelines being built. However, there is a growing need for hydrogen and CO2 transportation. A dynamically growing segment of utility-scale solar requires connections to the grid. Last but not least, while we populate deserted areas of our planet, we need to bring them water. These and other topics (primarily related to AI!) were discussed at IPLOCA's Novel Construction Convention last week in Lisbon. What an excellent opportunity to meet over 250 member companies of this globally most prominent energy transmission builders and operators association. Georges Hage, thank you for organizing it! AI Clearing's VP of Product & Strategy Dariusz Ciesla, Ph.D., and Denys’s Pierre-Yves Hanson had the opportunity to present our AI-powered construction progress monitoring platform at the convention. This platform, which has been successfully applied in practice at the 44 km long dual-purpose pipeline (natural gas and hydrogen), is a testament to its practicality and effectiveness. But probably most importantly, it was an excellent occasion for the less formal meetings with our clients and friends in beautiful Lisbon!
