Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. If you are spending the weekend with family and friends, make sure to keep safety a priority! Here are 5 tips to keep in mind while traveling or hosting a BBQ: 🔷 Stay hydrated: Whether you're hitting the road or firing up the grill, make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, especially in the summer heat. 🔷 Practice safe driving: If you're traveling, remember to buckle up, avoid distractions, and follow the speed limit. Let's keep our roads safe for everyone. 🔷 Grill safely: When grilling, keep a safe distance from flammable materials, never leave the grill unattended, and make sure it's placed on a stable surface away from children and pets. 🔷 Practice fire safety: If you're using fireworks, follow all safety guidelines and laws. Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby and never relight a dud firework. 🔷 Plan ahead: Whether you're traveling or hosting a BBQ, plan ahead and have a designated driver if you'll be drinking. With the clocks going back last weekend British Summer Time (BST) and daylight-saving time ended. Although the autumn change is often seen as the "good one" because you get an extra hour in bed (!), the days become shorter, and the nights become longer. Our thoughts turn towards the end of year festivities. However, this is the time of year when we at Parity Trust turn our thoughts to, and focus even more on those within our communities who may be alone, marginalised, and vulnerable. We want to ensure that working with our local authority partners, we can provide the financial support to enable homeowners to stay safe, secure, and particularly at this time of year, warm in their own homes, so that they can enjoy their independence and the festivities and celebrations. The genesis of Parity Trust is to provide the link between our partner local authorities and our residents. We have a mandate to provide good, positive outcomes, and to change lives for the better. We are committed to working with local authorities to help them deliver solutions, whether they are supporting residents with energy efficiency measures, adaptations or essential home improvements Keep up to date with Parity Trust by following our company page. #hampshirechamberofcommerce #newforestbusinesspartnership

ACMA’s Christmas Wreath For as long as anyone can remember, a bread wreath has been part of the ACMA Christmas season. It’s not just any wreath—it’s a golden-brown loaf of bread shaped by hand and hung by our office door, signaling the arrival of the holidays. This tradition began years ago with Gloria McClure. She’d bake a wreath every year using an old French bread recipe. It didn’t last long as something you’d want to eat, but that only added to the fun. People used to joke about eating it before it turned rock-solid. Somehow, though, it always survived the season. The bread wreath is more than decoration—it’s a piece of ACMA’s story. It reminds us of the little things that give our work culture meaning. Like so many traditions, it’s less about the “thing” itself and more about the people behind it and the moments it represents. Wreaths in History Wreaths have been around forever. Their circular shape is meant to symbolize eternity. Centuries ago, they became part of the Christmas season, starting with Yule traditions and later becoming a symbol of Advent. Each candle in an Advent wreath represented hope, love, joy, or peace. These days, for many people, wreaths are just a symbol of holiday cheer—and there’s nothing wrong with that. However you celebrate, we hope your holidays are filled with those same things: hope, love, joy, and peace. From all of us at ACMA, happy holidays. Living in the tranquil towns of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire I cherish the love, peace and quiet that define our community. However, I equally love the unique kind of peace that comes with the roar of motorcycles during Motorcycle Week in Laconia, New Hampshire. Today marks the start of Motorcycle Week in Laconia, New Hampshire, transforming serene surrounding small towns like Wolfeboro and Alton into buzzing hubs of excitement. The population skyrockets (our small towns become "crowded"), traffic jams abound, and the roar of engines fills the air. But Motorcycle Week is much more than the sound and spectacle; it's a celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood. Despite the influx, the atmosphere remains remarkably peaceful. Even with biker clubs in town, the week is filled with joy and camaraderie. There's a palpable sense of unity and love, with no major conflicts to speak of. One notable aspect is the presence of militant female bikers who protest the beach ban on topless sunbathing in Gilford, NH. They view this as anti-female and fight for their rights passionately, aligning with the more progressive stance of places like Hampton Beach, which does not enforce such draconian laws. Motorcycle Week is a vibrant celebration of community and freedom, where everyone, regardless of their background, comes together in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect. So, rev your engines and join the festivities—this week is all about love on two wheels. #divineintervention #gabenfreude #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
