“We are really getting after that continuum of learning. Right now, I believe that there are still some gaps in that continuum of learning and, with the stand up of ADC, we're able to then fill those gaps to ensure that it is one continuous area of learning.” - Dr. Yolanda Williams, Air University provost and institutional accreditation administrator Chief Master Sgt. This hung in my classroom for 5 years as a Professional Military Education (PME) instructor during my ALS (Airmen Leadership School) and NCOA (Non-Commissioned Officer Academy) duty: "Son, we live in a world that needs PME, and that PME has to be taught by instructors with lesson plans. Who's gunna do it? YOU? I have a greater responsibility than you can possible fathom! You weep for washouts and you curse the curriculum. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, educates Airmen (capital A). You don' want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in parties, you want me in that classroom. You NEED me in that classroom! We use words like cognitive objectives, affective learning, summative evaluations. We use these words as a backbone of a life spent teaching something. You use them as a punch line! I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to one who rises and sleeps under this very blanket of education I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just say "Thank you" and be on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a dry erase marker and stand your post. Either way...(Fill in the blank) I know each career field had their own version of this for the tasks... What was yours? :) 😎 #USAF #nco #airmen #moviequote #mondaymotivation #thisactuallyhappened

🇺🇸 🪖 The US Navy will shorten the Basic Military Training program for new recruits from 10 to 9 weeks starting January 2025, following after improved recruitment numbers. The streamlined schedule eliminates inefficiencies and redundancies, with adjustments to Warrior Toughness, physical fitness training, and professional development programs. 🗣️ “This optimization doesn’t just shorten the time-to-train; it enhances our recruits’ ability to transition seamlessly into the fleet and contribute immediately,” Naval Service Training Command commander Rear Adm. Craig Mattingly said.

Immersion training is one of the things the marine Corps does well. While at the Marine Advisors course in Norfolk, one gets the opportunity to step outside of the “fishbowl” of the Inited States. Many military members can describe the challenges of working with foreign countries. This type of training gives exposure to the cultural, language, and environmental differences and the means to adapt.

Senior noncommissioned officers must be ready for intellectual overmatch across the competition continuum where they must possess a higher level of cognitive and strategic understanding than their adversaries. How? Starting in FY 25 SNCOs attending the Air Force Senior NCO Academy are required to complete the Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II online course prior to attendance. Critical in modern warfare where battles are not only fought with weapons but also with tactics that require quick thinking, adaptability, and a deep understanding of complex scenarios to create superior intellectual overmatch—optimizing the force. Well prepared Joint Force SNCOs will navigate and leverage the strengths of different service branches and integrate various capabilities effectively to become a strategic advantage force multiplier. Our adversaries will stand idly by as Air Force SNCOs equip themselves to make informed decisions, anticipate enemy actions, and deploy resources efficiently, all of which are crucial for success in modern, fast-evolving Great Power Conflict. #jointforce #SNCO #intellectualovermatch #developingwarfighters #optimizetheforce Get the full details. https://lnkd.in/eXCmh8ES United States Air Force The Joint Staff United States Space Force Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (AFSNCOA) Air Education and Training Command Air & Space Forces Association Alex Eudy Stars and Stripes

The Naval Education and Training Command continues to reimagine how we train our nation’s warfighters. Through Ready Relevant Learning (#RRL), the DON changed when we provide training, how we deliver training, and how we keep that training as relevant as possible to the real-world needs of the Fleet. RRL deploys modern training technology and methods that improves the way training is delivered today compared to the past with training front loaded early in Sailors’ careers, leading to atrophy of knowledge, skills, and abilities. Today, RRL supports the complex needs of individual Sailor training by improving individual performance and allowing trainers the space to conduct more complex, warfighting focused training. #PEOMLB Christine Rodriguez, Mary Thoms, David K., Hank Reeves
