Engineers from NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and AeroVironment are completing a detailed assessment of the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter's final flight and this morning shared some initial highlights. Despite a challenging landing that resulted in gyroscopic forces damaging its rotor blades, Ingenuity's mission was a success. It far exceeded its original goals, completing 72 flights and flying over 30 times farther than planned. The detailed assessment will be published in the next few weeks as a NASA technical report. Being able to fly 30 times further than planned is quite a feat! Well done! I wonder if there were any 'above ground level' sensors onboard?
AV always going above and beyond! Still, like Opportunity, there is always that twinge of sadness when our robots end their missions.
Fantastico aggiornamento

It's time to invest in Made in the USA!! China has recently imposed sanctions on 13 U.S. defense firms in retaliation for the latest U.S. arms sales to Taiwan. The sanctions target companies involved in drones and other unmanned weapons systems, including SKYDIO, ShieldAI, BRINC Drones, and Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems. Additionally, top officials at larger defense companies like BAE Systems and Raytheon have also been targeted.
