The Aerotropolis Alliance has been instrumental in bringing together key stakeholders to create a shared vision for the region. The Alliance is making sure that everyone, including longtime residents and newcomers, has a stake in the future of this region in College Park. It was unveiled after six months of work under the. Virginia Ave. Marta Bridge, What it means the most to me is just that they gave me a chance to show what I could do. Sustainability is at the core of our vision. We're committed to developing the Aerotropolis region in a way that protects the environment, supports smart growth, and enhances the quality of life for all. From green spaces to energy efficient infrastructure, we're building a community that will thrive for generations to come. This year, a historic announcement provides confirmation and the power of multi jurisdictional planning and coordination with the Atlanta Beltline to the Flint River Trail receiving $50 million in April. The very next month in May, the ARC and four South metro Atlanta communities received an additional 14.9. Billion dollars bringing that a total of $64.9 million of federal grant funds for the Flint River Gateway Trails network. The City of East Point leadership have long envisioned the extension of the Atlanta Beltline and we're now fortunate S Fulton and Clayton County communities along with the Flint River will be connected after decades of being separated by highways. Thanks to our partners at the Atlanta Regional Commission, this new opportunity will bring much needed. Alternative modes of transportation, economic and healthcare initiatives to support our growing region. Our impact goes beyond the economic development. We're investing in the people who make this region special.
