Secondcell Bio Chief Innovation Advisor Arthur (Art) Morrish has been appointed to oversee all AI aspects at Secondcell Bio to complement our wet-lab efforts. #meettheteam His “Art’s Axioms” for mentoring, nurturing, and successfully achieving innovation, including how to manage change and handle the fallout of disruptive technologies are freely shared below. Dr. Morrish served as the founding CEO of ASPIRE, the business development arm of Advanced Technology Research Council and previously led U.S. government initiatives at Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). While there are many AI efforts afoot for drug development, success ultimately hinges on the quality of input data. Inspiration comes from our amazing panel, including ❤️ a founder on a mission to make assisted fertility accessible for everyone 🙏 a travel leader we can all thank for making mobile boarding passes a reality 🤩 a founder looking to transform the mortgage industry with AI This event is all about creating space to be scrappy, play, be imperfect and to revel in making random connections - because that's where creativity begins. There's an element here of the unknown: we've no idea what thinking will emerge, or what connections might be made - and that's great, because we so rarely prioritise or make time for this type of thinking in our daily professional lives. So if you're in pharma, or have pharma connections you think might value the mental space to get messy and play in the sandbox with us, please spread the word. 🙏

From Brussels to Paris and Milan, Syensqo's brilliant minds joined forces with Nobel laureates, Ernest Solvay Prize winners, innovators, startups, customers, and more to explore the endless possibilities of science and technology. It was nothing short of amazing! AND we also had this year’s edition of #GirlsLeadinginScience, which brought together 50 young and talented #STEM students for a hackathon focused on developing solutions to combat water waste and climate change. A topic very close to my heart. Of course, our celebration of innovation doesn’t just last for a week; it is at the core of everything we do at Syensqo. With 15% of our workforce dedicated to Research & Innovation (R&I), 12 major R&I sites around the globe, 5% of our turnover invested in R&I, and more than 600 scientific patents filed within the last 5 years, we are explorers constantly in pursuit of breakthrough innovations that enable the circular economy, clean mobility, biobased solutions and more.
