It's National Men Make Dinner Day! Seems a bit of an outdated concept, but we can have a little fun. We could interpret this a few ways: 1. men are only required to make dinner one day per year; 2. we appreciate the hundreds of days that men make dinner every year; 3. this one day every year, men must feed themselves and their other halves get to take the night off. In our house, my hubby is a rock star with a braai (grilling or BBQ in America) but only makes one dish on the stovetop, which is his favorite: mince (or spaghetti in America). Any day that I don't have to cook is a win, so cheers to all the men who make any yummy dish. What's the best man-built dinner in your home? #foodandbeverage #dinner

Here is the next recipe to add to your Thanksgiving spread. This is a great recipe to avoid getting lumps in your homemade gravy. GRAVY 4T Butter 4T Flour 16 oz Broth, chicken/turkey/beef/vegetable (at room temperature) Over medium heat, add butter to a sauce pot. Right before the butter is melted, add your flour. Stir with a whisk until it is completely combined. Continue to stir for 1 minute. Add broth to your sauce pot, whisking until the ingredients are combined. Continue whisking every 30-45 seconds. Within 3-4 minutes your mixture should start to thicken. Continue until you reach your desired thickness. Hint: A way to test when your gravy is perfect is to use a spoon. When you think it is done, dip a spoon into the gravy. It should coat the spoon leaving a thin layer.
