Why CANT YOU PUT ME FORWARD for this SCHILLING PROJECT? Yesterday I was talking with an ROV Pilot that has over 5 years experience with a company that have their own branded ROV system. The person in question had a very good cv and wanted to apply for a position as a Schilling Pilot, they was confident they could get the job done. I regretfully had to explain that the client is only looking for pilots that already have experience on this system and that I could not put his profile forward. It is not nice having to say no to people and as a recruiter my goal is to get as many people work as possible. That being said we are told by the client what they need and there is only so much flexibility allowed when submitting profiles. As you can imagine the person in question was not best pleased and this raises two questions that I would like everyone's opinion on. Should employers be more flexible with people looking to change over to a new ROV system. ? For those of you that have managed to change over to a new system, what was the process like for you. ?

Why have I been so quiet on here? 🤫 Last week and this week has consisted of a fair bit of planning for upcoming projects. One of which Michael Woods B.Sc. (Hons) and the Solent Sky Services™ team attended over the weekend and rolled straight into a very exciting project this week. What has my weeks of planning consisted of? ✅ Permission to fly and film within the perimeters of a local airport. ✅ Permission to fly and film within two different ports. ✅ Permission to fly and film on a prestigious race track. ✅ Permission to fly within two locations in central London. All of the above supported by- ✅ Ground Risk Assessments ✅ Drone Risk Assessments ✅ Full job packs including method statements, flight area, weather forecast, NOTAMS and other supporting information. ✅ Contact/call sheet ✅ Supplying relevant licences and insurance documents. ✅ Completion or updating of supplier forms. ✅ Completion of site forms. Each project is bespoke and requires individual, detailed attention. There is nothing more satisfying then knowing the team have everything onsite so they can crack on, be creative and blow the socks off our clients. #projectplanning #familybusiness #videoproduction
