𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗿𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is no longer a utopia – it's becoming a tangible reality that could revolutionize the way we think about airport areas and transportation networks. You've probably heard about the progress in flying taxis - from type certification to test flights around the world, and even the development of Vertiport infrastructure. But what does this new integration of mobility mean for the future of transportation? Can airport areas truly benefit from this emerging technology? How can AAM complement existing networks, and what strategies will ensure its successful integration? These questions will be discussed at the 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Beijing, from September 25th to 27th. At the conference, Maria Krylova from M2P will address this topic. She'll be presenting on AAM infrastructure development and moderating a panel discussion. M2P is proud to be at the forefront of these innovations, currently involved in unmanned air mobility research agreements and exploring the broader opportunities that AAM offers. Stay tuned for more insights on AAM in the coming weeks as we lead up to this exciting event. 🛫 #AdvancedAirMobility #AAM #Airports #AirportCities #Aviation

👀 It's day 2️⃣ of the #GlobalTBO Symposium! Today, we continue to delve into trajectory-based operations #TBO, exploring the essential building blocks needed to make this global concept a reality. Moderator Paul Bosman, EUROCONTROL, opened by comparing the key enablers with the first smart phone, until it came onto the market, people didn’t know they needed one! 💡 Véronique Travers Sutter, from the Network Manager iCNS unit EUROCONTROL, presented the future multilink approach for communications, making use of a combination of technologies such as #datalink, of which 95 % operational usage has been achieved. 💡 Heiko Teper, SESAR Deployment Manager, presented the state of play of #synchronised deployment in Europe of initial trajectory sharing (#AF6), which is due for full implementation by the end of 2027, and is already operational significantly boosting efficiency. 💡 HUGUES DE BECO, Airbus, shared insights into how aircraft manufacturers are adapting to support TBO, focusing on technological advancements, future #capabilities, and aircraft #equipage, such as FANS C, which will enable airlines to optimise their aircraft’s trajectories and make traffic flows more fluid and aircraft speed easier to manage, which will help them to save #fuel and reduce #noise. 💡 With a focus on innovation and collaboration, Sherry Yang, shared details of Boeing's electronic flight bag (#EFB) enhanced flight deck, which leverages multiple datalinks to enable trajectory sharing between air-ground and to provide pilots with greater situational awareness. 💡 Jason Rossiter, NAV CANADA, shared lessons learned from TBO implementation, noting that that it is not a switch that gets turned on; it is an #iterative process and needs to be planned in multiple phases. He cited improvements in efficiency and safety in Canadian #airspace with partial implementation. #Centralised flight planning and trajectory sharing and synchronisation will pave the way to full implementation. 💡 Davide Tomassini, European Space Agency - ESA, presented Iris and the role of #satellite technology, which is connecting pilots to ATC and facilitating the sharing of data required for flight #optimisation. More than 1,000 Iris-enabled commercial flights have flown already in Europe with Airbus 320 aircraft and the participation of ANSPs, demonstrating important performance gains. 💡 Philippe LIEVIN, Collins Aerospace, offered an industry perspective on TBO and the need to focus on four key layers: new #applications for air and ground, more flexible #data sharing, new interfaces to enable #interconnectivity and a robust and reliable communications, navigation and surveillance infrastructure. #Agility, a supporting #regulatory framework, #standardisation and #funding are key conditions for success. #ATM #AirTrafficManagement #DigitalSky #TBO
