Be Finally Free is actively combating the homeless epidemic in Kern County through education. Our guiding principle is encapsulated in a simple question: "How can you do something different if you don't know anything different?" This question underscores our mission to instill a new mindset in individuals. Our programs are dedicated to teaching alternative ways to respond, think, and navigate life's challenges beyond familiar patterns. By educating the homeless community, we are making a tangible impact on our local society. However, we cannot achieve this without support from individuals like you. The Big Give Christmas Challenge is now OPEN Any donation between now and midday on Tuesday 10th Dec will be DOUBLED thanks to and This year we are raising money to support children, young people and families in Tower Hamlets and here's why... 🔸 Tower Hamlets has the second highest percentage of children living in poverty in the UK, with many unable to access suitable recreational opportunities in which to socialise with others. 🔸 16–22-year-olds have told us that the cost-of-living crisis is negatively impacting the quality time they spend with their families and wider community – leading to worse mental health. 🔸 They say that isolation and a lack of social cohesion makes finding their place in the community and wider world a major worry. We will keep running regular sessions for children and provide young people with a social space to spend quality time with their families, participate in fun activities and access the tools, knowledge, and skills. Help us tackle play poverty and any donation you make between now and midday on Tues 10th December will be DOUBLED. Find out about our campaign and donate: https://buff.ly/4ePgVyD

When a woman leaves a violent partner, she loses so much more than a roof over her head - she risks her safety, faces relocation and loses access to financial stability, community, and support systems. With domestic violence as the leading cause of homelessness for women, many are forced to choose between staying with a violent partner and having a place to stay. We’re asking you to support Walk for WAGEC, so that women and their children can walk away from violence. With the rising cost of living and housing crisis, WAGEC's services are more in-demand than ever. We need your help to raise $300,000 that will fund vital services that will support women and children in crisis, and stop violence before it starts. A donation of $250 could provide three days of crisis accomodation for a woman and her children who have just escaped violence. Every dollar helps to build a safer future for women and children in our community. We're stronger when we walk together. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gT7rErZ8

YOU CAN HELP! For 325 days (and Counting) I've raised the alarm that youth 10 to 19 have no emergency #safe housing anywhere in Ocean or Monmouth County, NJ. CLCL Foundation has innovative solutions to address and end youth homelessness, plus supports for families, caregivers, and resource parents. As a former foster and adopted youth and teen runaway, I know how powerful interventions can be in creating better outcomes. You can help BE THE CHANGE by donating to the registered 501(c)(3), Choose love. Celebrate life. A Foundation for Youth and Families, Inc. Or joining the CLCL team to create evidence-based, trauma-informed, antiracist and inclusive programs. 🚨 Your Help is Needed Now More Than Ever 🚨 At #CASAJWC, our vision is clear: to create a community where every child who has experienced abuse and neglect is given the opportunity to thrive. Unfortunately, significant reductions in VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) funding—amounting to a loss of over $100,000 since 2023—are jeopardizing the stability of our programs and the well-being of the children we serve. As Julie shares, funding shortages threaten our ability to meet the growing need for advocacy and support in our community. While we’ve taken steps to offset these losses, we can’t sustain our impact without your help. Your monthly or one-time donation will help us maintain critical programs, expand support to more youth, and ensure stability during these uncertain times. Every contribution makes a difference—together, we can continue providing hope, advocacy, and life-changing support to the children who need it most. Donate today towards #CASAJWC's 2024 Annual Appeal and help us build brighter futures: https://lnkd.in/eE-9sVZg 💙
