Our next webinar from the API SCale-up Strategies is coming on July 16th! My colleagues Kuo-Chih Shih and Anne Virden will be talking about polymorphism and various ways of distinguishing between different drug substance forms and how to detect potential polymorphic impurities. Subscribe now and learn from our experts why understanding of polymorphic behavior of your API is so important.
Questions I get asked all the time about drug substance crystallization What’s the best way to distinguish one polymorph from another? How do I detect contaminations by other crystalline forms - even when present at very low concentrations? What’s the best way to confirm the homogeneity of my materials? Is there a way to determine the polymorphic form of each particle? Can I link particle shape to polymorphic form? Find answers to these questions in my upcoming webinar, Crystallization Command - Tools for Controlling Polymorphism & Crystallization on July 16, 2024. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eRYGEAiq

In this paper, Szabolcs Fekete and Davy Guillarme explore the advantages of using ultra-short columns for analyzing large biomolecules. The review summarizes historical and recent works related to the use of short columns for therapeutic proteins, and outlines theoretical concepts, limitations and potential applications. The authors conclude that, considering all the benefits of ultra-short columns and their potential applications to other biomolecules and additional chromatographic modes, there is a great chance that ultra-short columns will be more widely considered in the future. https://bit.ly/3WlmUpm
