𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 This week, I was at Sigowet Sub-County Hospital located in the far flanks of Kericho County and there's so much that our public health facilities can offer if empowered. First, this facility is strategic and serves a pool of patients not only in the remote areas of Sigowet-Soin, but also from as far as Bomet, Homabay and Nyamira counties. During our engagement with staff, there was a lot of praise towards @Dr. Peter Mugun, the Medical Superintendent to have transformed the service delivery model at this facility, not mentioning the IPC standards here. This is the most quality-driven level IV hospital I have visited this year. 𝐵𝓊𝓉 𝓌𝒽𝓎 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝐼 𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒? Since devolution of healthcare, most County Governments have continuously invested in health systems infrastructure to boost quality of care. This week, I joined the County Government of Kericho to launch its partnership with Zipline, that will see essential emergency medicines, blood and vaccines delivered by drones instantly on-demand, saving lives. In the past more than 1.5years of operation in Kenya, Zipline has significantly contributed to the improved health outcomes in Kisumu, Nyamira and Homabay counties, through its revolutionary teleportation model of medicines delivery. For the country to achieve universal health coverage, there's need to provide quality care to patients at their nearest primary facilities, cut down on unnecessary patient referrals necessitated by product stock-outs and eliminate product expiries/wastages attributed to unoptimised systems. With this partnership, facilities like Sigowet Sub-County Hospital will now receive emergency medicines, blood and vaccines in a count of minutes courtesy of Zipline drone delivery, and attend to most of the emergency cases as presented unlike before where, patient referrals for surgeries was inevitable. There's a guarantee to save thousands of lives with this model. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻? Digital Innovations are disrupting operations within the medical supply chain. A.I is promising a future where there's end to end visibility for health products and technologies (HPT), through the healthcare delivery system. In the past, a lot of focus has been put on manufacturing and first mile processes, neglecting last mile delivery, which is the closest to service delivery. However, innovations like use of aerial logistics, automated inventory management softwares and medical data management systems promise a future where decisions regarding care can be made faster, due to integrated models of key health enablers. There are many opportunities that digital health technologies can fast-roll us into universal health coverage and I had a chance to share a snippet of this through our work at Zipline in Western Kenya. #medicaldrones #drones4good #universalhealthcoverage

Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) aims to enhance our service delivery by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and promoting collaboration between industry and research. This complements our core business of providing aged care and community services, with a focus on home care for elderly individuals, particularly those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. We have partnered with ARIIA in multiple ways: 1. Challenge-Based Care Projects (CCP): A program that funds innovative solutions to specific challenges in the aged care sector, aimed at improving service delivery and care quality. 2. MRFF Projects Evaluation: Initiatives funded by the Medical Research Future Fund, focusing on research and innovation in dementia, ageing, and psychosocial care. 3. Innovation Training Program (ITP): A training program that equips aged care professionals with the skills to implement innovative practices and drive continuous improvement in care delivery. 4. Knowledge & Implementation Hub: A rich resource providing tools, guides, and research evidence to support aged care providers in implementing best practices and innovations. Available for free to everyone. I cannot recommend ARIIA highly enough. They are an incredible and positive force in the industry. Our free industry modules are an excellent resource to kickstart your approach to innovation in aged care. 🌟 “I watched them over the weekend, took 4 pages of notes and found them very useful! I now have an excellent template to support our ongoing ARIIA project but also for when we approach other aged care organisations, well done!” The modules are free and take approximately 30 minutes to watch. You'll also find links to additional useful information. Explore the modules: 💻 https://zurl.co/ajQ4 #AgedCareSector #AgedCareInnovation #Technology #Innovation #FreeResources

For Alira Health, building their first clinical study on Zelta was relatively simple compared to other platforms they tried. Building the study from a reusable template meant that the Alira team didn’t need to recreate activities like roles, subject and page statuses, and query types each time – all of which adds up to major time savings for new study builds. Learn more about how Zelta’s time savings and quick user support have made building #clinicalstudies faster and easier for Alira Health, and how platform capabilities like #locallabs support and automatic edit checks are helping to alleviate even more time-consuming tasks. https://lnkd.in/eSrXxNDs
