Technology is changing the way you recruit and hire: Recruiter and hiring managers in all fields Spend countless hours doing these tasks: creating Job posts (hoping they will work), Sorting out candidates that do not qualify, calling candidates to schedule an interview, pre-screening candidates before the interview, sending reminders to the interview, Following up with no-shows, following up with those that did show: ⏲️ These efforts can drain an entire day and produce very little results. Technology can help you to eliminate this drain on your time and help you to focus on the tasks that really matter = sitting down face to face to find out about the person you want to hire or focusing on making your business more profitable Use the technology: https://lnkd.in/gsDgYPTX

The speed of your recruitment process directly correlates to your chances of a successful hire. Long gaps between interview stages, or having too many stages, can mean that your preferred candidate ends up being hired elsewhere. Maybe even by your competitors!! To improve your chances of a successful hire consider how you can streamline your current process. Can 3 stages be made into 2, could they take place more quickly? This week, I spoke with a potential recruiting client. They'd had several not-so-nice experiences with other recruiters in the past, and I felt bad for them. We're here to *help* you and ease the burden of the candidate selection process, not make your life harder. I hope no other powersports or motorcycle dealership goes through what they did, so here's my Five things to ask a Recruiting Company When Interviewing them: 1. Where do they pull their candidates from? 2. What's their candidate screening process? 3. What's their approach to sending over candidates? (Do they just forward resumes? Have they actually spoken with the candidate? Have they seen them on a Zoom call? Do they write an executive summary of the candidate based on extensive discussions/meetings? Have they done a light background check?) 4. Ask how many companies they've done more than two searches for. (A different version is how many clients have been with them over a decade?) 5. Ask if they stand behind their candidates. Do they have a guarantee? What does that look like? I love working with Jan Plessner and Michael J. Marchky on the ACTION Recruiting team because we love love love this industry and truly enjoy helping people. Go ahead and ask one of us those questions! #ACTIONRecruiting #LoveMyClients #LoveMyCandidates #LoveMyJob

If you are a sales candidate and don't have a 30/60/90 ramp up plan without being asked for one you are already falling behind other candidates who want the role you are going for. Show companies why they NEED to hire you rather than giving them a few reasons why they MIGHT hire you. Most times when sales candidates get passed over in the interview process, it's because they haven't convinced the hiring teams that they are real closers. #sales #logistics #freight #recruiting
