Active travel is the foundation of a thriving public transport network, even if it’s just walking to the bus stop.” This is very true, and also the headline of the article around the negative impact that the in-built anti-cycling attitude has on the wider active travel cause. Another reason why I think that the constant narrow framing of active travel as “Walking and Cycling” can be a bit unhelpful - because many people/policy makers seem to carry an inexplicable negative bias towards the second half of that title!
