Easy Gutter Fixes You Can DIY: 1. Clean Your Gutters Gutters move water off your roof and away from your foundation, so it’s important they work right. We share some easy DIY gutter fixes you can do yourself. Note of Caution: Always practice proper ladder safety and enlist a helper when needed. 1. Clean Your Gutters This one’s easy, and it’ll help prevent problems like leaks and sagging gutters down the road. Clean your gutters about once a year, depending on your tree cover. You don’t need any special tools, just a ladder, a scoop or spatula, a garden hose and maybe a bucket. Don’t forget the downspouts. If you just clean your gutters, the downspouts might still be clogged, and the gutters won’t function properly. Disconnect the elbows and downspout pipe and shake them out. You might need to reach your hand inside to get things moving, so wear gloves. Run your hose through the pieces to clean them, then reassemble. Open #joints and cracks in floors can become a real problem regarding care and maintenance. Dirt and bacteria can settle there and are difficult (if not impossible) to remove. Furthermore, water from the daily cleaning can migrate into the joints and lead to damages or swelling. In the worst case the floor can lift off in the joint areas and has to be replaced. A permanent Dr. Schutz floor coating prevents these problems: the surface and the joints are sealed hermetically and an even surface is created so that neither dirt nor water can migrate into the cracks. #FloorCoating #Hygiene #FloorMaintenance #floorcracks #sealjoints

"Best Practices for Cleaning High-Traffic Areas 🚶♂️🧹 High-traffic areas like entrances, lobbies, and hallways are some of the busiest spots in any building. Keeping them clean is not just about appearance; it’s about safety and hygiene. Here are some best practices for ensuring these spaces are well-maintained: Frequent Cleaning: High-traffic areas require more frequent cleaning to prevent the buildup of dirt and germs. Focus on High-Touch Surfaces: Pay special attention to door handles, railings, and elevator buttons to reduce the spread of bacteria. Use the Right Tools: Microfiber mops and cloths, and high-quality vacuums can capture more dirt and germs effectively. Slip Prevention: Regularly check for spills or wet floors, especially in entrances, to avoid accidents. Scheduled Deep Cleaning: Implement regular deep cleaning to maintain long-term hygiene and extend the life of surfaces. By staying proactive and using the right techniques, we can ensure that high-traffic areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. #HighTrafficAreas #CleaningIndustry #HygieneMatters #WorkplaceSafety #ProfessionalCleaning"

How to Keep Your Roof Clean Moss and algae might look harmless, but they can damage your roof if left unchecked. Florida’s humidity makes this issue even more common. To clean your roof, start by using a soft brush or a garden hose to gently remove the growth—never use a power washer, as it can strip away protective layers on your shingles. You can also hire a reputable soft wash company to use specialized chemicals to clean your roof. Regular cleaning helps keep your roof healthy and looking great. #RoofMaintenance #RoofCleaning #FloridaHomes

Signs of a Mouse Infestation: 1. Droppings: Mouse droppings are small, dark, and usually found along walls, in cabinets, or in other hiding spots. 2. Gnaw Marks: Mice gnaw on various materials to keep their teeth in check. Look for gnaw marks on food packaging, wires, and wood. 3. Noises: Mice are often active at night, so you may hear scratching or squeaking noises coming from walls, ceilings, or floorboards. 4. Nesting Materials: Mice use materials like paper, fabric, and insulation to build nests. If you find shredded materials in hidden corners, it could indicate a mouse nest nearby. 5. Smell: Mice produce a distinct, musky odor that can become noticeable in areas with a significant infestation. 6. Tracks and Smudge Marks: Look for tracks or smudge marks along baseboards or on walls, especially in dusty areas. 7. Chewed Food: Check your pantry for opened or gnawed food packages. Mice will often contaminate food stores. 8. Pet Behavior: If your pets suddenly start acting unusually, such as pawing at walls or showing increased interest in certain areas, it could be a sign of a mouse infestation. #HouseTipTuesday Spring (or almost spring) is a great time to inspect your gutter systems. If working correctly, the gutter guards, downspouts and extensions should keep water flowing at least 5' away from the house. Be sure to look for signs of wear and tear, missing pieces, or parts that are pulling away from the property. Also, be sure that nothing is blocking or obstructing the gutters like leaves, debris, plants, weeds, etc. Make those minor repairs now and the clean gutters can help avoid damage during all 4 seasons. Bed bugs often come from places with high human activity, such as hotels, public transportation, and second-hand furniture. They can hitch a ride on luggage, clothing, or used items, spreading quickly from one location to another. Bed bugs thrive in warm environments and are typically found in or near bedding and upholstered furniture, where they can easily access human hosts. They reproduce rapidly, making early detection and intervention crucial to preventing infestations from becoming severe. Regular inspection, cleanliness, and cautious purchasing of second-hand items can help prevent their spread.
