Hoarding information is just hurting you…share the wealth! 🫰 I recently assisted a client with a challenging recruiting system issue. Since they were new to the HR/recruiting field, they were not aware of the complexity of the situation and the possible solutions. I gave them a simplified explanation of the problem, why it occurred, and the options for moving forward. They were grateful because it saved them from a lot of trial and error. This is a situation that you might encounter when interacting with other HR professionals, managers, or business leaders.  You have a wealth of knowledge that you can either hoard or share and continue building up the people around you. And guess what? Sharing information builds YOU up too, not just the person you’re sharing it with because it allows others to handle tasks that you’ve outgrown and frees you up to receive additional knowledge or expand your abilities.  🤯 You can’t continually grow in your career or change functions without removing some of your prior responsibilities.  So, next time you're tempted to keep your wealth of knowledge to yourself, remember: hoarding knowledge is like hoarding expired yogurt—nobody benefits.
