🌟 Read about my work with the Office for Students! I wrote a blog for the OfS about my experience of being a member of their Disability in Higher Education Advisory Panel. One of the things I love the most about working in policy is having the opportunity to help others see the bigger picture, and the panel is doing just that. The HE sector has a long way to go to be truly inclusive for disabled students - as a panel we have been looking at how the necessary improvements might be achieved. #UnlockingEducation #InclusiveEducation
To coincide with the next Disability in Higher Education Panel meeting, panel member Lucy Merritt has written a blog reflecting on the discussions of the panel so far, and on her role as Education Policy Manager at Thomas Pocklington Trust, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of blind or partially sighted people. Literacy should be a right of all children. Yet, more than half of of our children are unable to reach reading proficiency. We can change this by supporting families and children when it matters most, during the earliest years. Please make a donation on behalf of our babies. Let’s give them the tools they will need to reach their potential and make this world a better place for all of us. Investing in #earlyeducation is an investment in our future. #earlylearning #earlyliteracy
Give the gift of ✨ literacy✨ this #GivingTuesday. At LINC, we know that when a community reads, children succeed! 📖💛 LINC is on a mission to create literacy-rich neighborhoods across New York City, empowering families and nurturing young readers. With your help, we can make early literacy a pathway to opportunity for every child. 🌟📚 Together, we’ll build brighter futures! Donate today and make literacy a right for all children: tinyurl.com/literacygift24
