Builders FirstSource has acquired Kleet Lumber Co Inc of Huntington, NY. Founded in 1946, Kleet serves Long Island and metro NY. "This acquisition bolsters our market presence in the Northeast and enhances our ability to serve builders, contractors and homeowners in the region," BFS said.

Founded in Englewood, CO, by the Kurtz family in 1963 and subsequently converted to a 100% employee owned and operated company, Alpine has 21 locations serving homebuilders and contractors in the Front Range of Colorado, western Colorado, and northern New Mexico with a broad product range including prefabricated trusses, wall panels, and millwork. A nearly 125-year-old, family-owned lumber and home improvement company continues to grow, acquiring a Flint-based business to expand its services. Trenton-based Mans Lumber & Home LLC announced this week its acquisition of Michigan Timber & Truss, another family-owned business that designs and manufactures roof and floor trusses. Over the last 15 years, Mans Lumber has been in an “acquisition mode” to facilitate growth and expand its hold in the market, President Doug Mans said. “(Michigan Timber & Truss) really completes Mans Lumber.
