2024: What a ride it’s been! 🫡 It's been a year full of new initiatives, challenges, connections and learnings. Here are some key moments, along with my takeaways: ➡️ Upped my LinkedIn Game I finally embraced LinkedIn as my go-to social media platform, building my personal brand, sharing insights/content. Some thoughts: 1)Just like other platforms, LinkedIn isn't immune to senseless comments or clickbait posts. For me, I’ve focused mostly on quality over quantity to avoid posting just for the sake of it. Tho at times this has also been a barrier. 2)Consistency requires dedicated time; kinda hard to do amongst the chaos of RevOps and life! Respect for the ones who do. That being said, i am setting some ambitious goals for 2025! ➡️ From VC to PE-Backed I made the switch mid year, leaving Fundraise Up for FEV Tutor. While RevOps challenges align with business models and selling motions, VC and PE backing have some distinct pros and cons. (More on this in a future post! - Thanks LinkedIn for the limits 😑) ➡️ Founded RevInfinity! Taking the leap to start my own consulting practice was a milestone. While still in early phase, I have already learnt a ton as a founder in this space. Biggest Learning: Consulting is all about connections/referrals vs outbound/inbound. Our first two deals came purely from past relationships. ➡️ Hosted Pakistan’s First-Ever RevOps Event We successfully gathered Ops folks, VCs, founders, and consultants to raise awareness around RevOps being the future of GTM. Takeaway: Pakistan has an incredible talent pool and potential to serve as a low-cost market for future RevOps resources. ➡️ Won the Signals GTM Leader Award I was truly humbled by the community’s recognition of my hard work over the years. Thoughts: So many RevOps rockstars work behind the scenes without awards or recognition but deserve immense appreciation for the magic they create everyday. ➡️ Executive Voice in RevOps From RevOps Co-op's executive think tank to Chili Piper's executive dinner, I got the chance to engage with some incredible leaders/executives on conversations that will shape the future of RevOps in 2025. ➡️ Thought Leadership in Action I got to have some wonderful conversations around building world-class RevOps teams with Jeff Ignacio (The RevOps Review) and my take on a 30-60-90-day strategy for a RevOps leader with Randy Likas (Nektar.ai) ➡️ Non-RevOps Highlight 🎧 Okay, here is a non RevOps highlight. In the midst of it all, I performed a DJ set for 400 people! Learning: Stay connected to your passions (it's okay to have more than one). If RevOps has taught me anything, it’s that success can be achieved in multiple directions at once (Sorry still RevOps related 😂 ) Overall takeaway: There are no highs without the lows. The most mentally challenging steps don’t always lead to immediate results. The past few months have been the most challenging in my life. At first, I wanted to share a post about our highlights and achievements at Scripe, but reflecting over Easter made me realize that only sharing the positives felt wrong. 💭 Here's a more realistic look back: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀: At the start of the year, we were unsure how we'd fund ourselves. Everything was up in the air, and we were all facing financial uncertainty until we got the Berlin Startup grant. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: We quickly realized we hadn't included enough user feedback initially, which meant we practically had to restart from the beginning. This was a huge source of frustration for us all. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 t𝗲𝗮𝗺: Finding our rhythm as a team, and understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses has been another massive challenge. We realized that it is a journey and working as a team requires mental effort and patience. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 f𝗲𝗮𝗿: I’ve struggled with a huge fear of failure and often doubted myself. And yes, there were even days when I was thinking about giving up. Glad I didn’t. ;) But I guess those failures are what makes all those achievements even more valuable. Same goes for the positive outlooks and results that have evolved throughout that time. Here’s what I am most proud of: ✅ 80% of our beta users are actively using our product on a weekly basis.  ✅ We're getting incredibly positive external feedback. ✅ We are growing as an amazing team. ✅ I have regained my confidence. This all makes me incredibly motivated for our public launch. Plus, I’ve learned to allow myself to be more open about these so-called weaknesses and aim to set clearer boundaries for myself. Here's what changed everything for me: - Unfollowed everyone who made me feel inadequate - Focused on 1% improvements, not massive leaps - Started documenting MY small wins daily The moment I stopped watching others' highlight reels, my own story started getting better. August 2024 was the hardest month of my life. Fell sick, lost 11 lbs weight and had no new clients. When I first started out in business, I had no idea how to manage my time properly. And as the year comes to a close, and I talk to startup founders at functions, I can see a lot of them struggling with this too. Humans, by nature, have a tendency to want to finish everything. If I put it on a list, it must be done. People are scrambling to cross everything off their to-do list and respond to every email before the Christmas break. Even stuff that has been sitting there for months. I get it, having a blank list is satisfying. But here's the thing, there's a faster way to clear out the list. Just DELETE everything...well not absolutely "everything". Get out your Eisenhower matrix - stuff that is months old, it's not important, get rid of it! If you've not done it before, it will feel weird. But in 3 months time you will have forgotten what they were, nobody will ask about them, the world will move on. This is the way.

The funnest part about working in a fast growing startup run by a bunch of maniacs (in good sense) is that everything is at our hands reach. Story time A competitor of ours were in touch with this prospect X for months. We got into this deal extremely late as they got to know about us late (we are figuring this part out to get in front sooner with our branding efforts). However when we got into it, we realised they needed some integrations we did not support currently (Had it planned for later). From my previous experiences, I know what this means. Having to validate the need in a document and sending it for review, finding data around who has asked for this before to prove value for the Devs to pick it up with atleast a quarter long back and forth internally before we even start the partnership conversation. Now before I could panic, all I did was ping in a shared channel. People figured the ask made sense. In about three hours time we were able to get partnership meetings setup with these vendors (leveraged mutual connections everyone had at these vendors) and in a couple of days have tangible timeline as to when this would come out de-risking the deal. At this point in time, I feel like if I lose a deal its completely on me as everything else from product and the people here at RevenueHero seem perfect. It is fun to be able to run when everyone's walking.

What’s the connection between preparing snacks and managing Google Ads? Staying up till 3 am! One of my staff recently mentioned, "Mam, my husband and I were up till 3 am preparing sweets and snacks for the festival." It got me thinking—just the other night, my better half Sivakumar Sathgurunath and I were also awake till 3 am, but we were fine-tuning Keywords for our Google Ad Words. Does this ring a bell? 🔔 That’s the life of every Business Owner. When you’re the one steering the ship, there’s no clock-out time, no waiting for someone else to step in. Here’s what I believe sets an owner apart: 💥 1. Responsibility on all fronts—the customer, the team, the taxes. It all stops with us. 💥 2. We are last in line for the salary, after everyone’s paid—if there’s anything left over. 💥 3. We carry all the risk—customer feedback, tax complications, overheads, meeting targets, and the unexpected. 💥 4. Business is always in the back of our mind, no matter where we are or what we are doing. Yet, the Entrepreneurial journey has its incredible rewards: 🎁 1. Our time is our own—we can choose when to take breaks. 🎁 2. Continuous learning—each day brings new challenges and growth opportunities. 🎁 3.
