Sales is all about taking people on a journey. I had 2 salespeople from different shutter companies, visit my house. Same price, 2 very different experiences...... Sales Person 1 ❌ The weakest handshake I've ever had in my life (maybe just me, but a major ick) 🤝 ❌ Gave a 50% discount without asking me a single question 😣 ❌ Then HAGGLED with me after that, asking me what other quotes I'd had Sales Person 2 ✅ Built rapport immediately, telling me where he lived and how it was similar to my property and the shutters he had ✅ Gave context about why the business was a specialist and talked me slowly through multiple options for shutters ✅ I felt listened to and the product offered was bespoke to me Well done ShuttersUp Ltd, your customer experience was 10 / 10 🙌 The lesson learnt? Treat people like people. Not as your next 'deal'.

I'm 5 weeks into my role at Caraffi. Yes, we have a number of great service offerings (blah blah blah, sorry Graeme Paxton / Emily Tatham). However, from a selfish view point I'm trying to get the decision makers who want to; - Categorise workers correctly and streamline the underpinning processes - Ensure compliance from a legislative and pre-employment POV - Minimise Spend (or maximise spend!) - Recruit Top Talent The problem is that these initiatives often sit with different parts of an organisation - Procurement, Finance, Talent or HR/People Teams Where does it sit within your organisation? More importantly, who wants to sit down and have conversation about the benefits of an outsourced solution?
